Dr. Irina Merport, MD

Dr. Merport is my GP. I see her annually but often at other times when I am ill. ( recently with vertigo) She manages to squeeze me in when various issues arise. She takes great care of me. Listens so well and thoughtfully answers all my questions. Gets me the therapy I need and is respectful of my opinions. I adore my doctor.

Horrible horrible visit. Never going back. Never at this age had a doctor that was mean rude disrespectful. No bedside manner. Just awful

Only giving 1 star because I have to - Dr. Merport has been my PCP for the better part of 10 years and has consistently refused to listen to my concerns or help me without a fight. She has related absolutely every concern I've ever had to my weight, but has refused to help me address my extreme difficulty with losing weight. I am currently searching for a new PCP who will address my health concerns rather than ignoring or refusing to investigate them. Her refusal to listen or help is incredibly disrespectful and I can't recall a single appointment that didn't leave me feeling hopeless and ignored.

I had the worst experience with the office and receptionist. I called to try make a sick appointment and the reception I spoke to was very rude and disrespectful. The reception kept interrupting me when I was speaking explaining my symptoms. The reception say she couldn’t make an appointment to be seen today that if I really felt I need to get check to go to the emergency room. I have never heard someone tell me I had go to emergency room for a head cold. The reception didn’t care I have elderly parents and a child. I would not recommend this office to anyone. Emergency room are suppose to be life threatening emergency not a head cold that is what a primary care physician is for . I guess not in this office

I have attended several of my moms visits with Dr Merport, she is excellent. She knows her patients and is very caring . Office staff are excellent to work with as well

I've been going to Dr. Merport for years. She is absolutely wonderful. She is knowledgeable and kind. She takes a real interest in her patients taking the time to ask pertinent background questions to get to the correct diagnosis. She never wastes your time nor does she make you feel rushed and most importantly, I trust her.

I’ve been with Dr. Merport longer than any other physician. I had some very atypical, complicated things go horribly wrong with my health that none of my specialists could quite diagnose. It took Dr. Merport all of a half-hour and some blood work to find out I was in the throes of hyperthyroidism, bordering on thyroid storm, which is not common for a 40-year-old male. It was beyond scary. I’m fine today because Dr. Merport nailed it down. I refer everyone I know to this modern-day angel!

Dr. Merport has been my physician for about 18 years. She is an excellent doctor: very knowledgeable and thorough, genuinely caring and compassionate. She takes time to really listen, and to fully answer my questions. She is one of those rare doctors who will have an in-depth discussion with me about how to best tackle my health care needs, which are often complicated. Ego doesn't get in the way. She will refer to specialists so that I get the best care. She truly cares about her patients.
