Had an MRI of the brain for new onset severe debilitating headaches. The radiology report was one short paragraph that basically said nothing. I had been followed with MRI for headaches a number of years ago with findings of demylinization and other insignificant findings. The prior reports performed at NYU Langone were very detailed. Demyelinization could be consistent with migraines or multiple sclerosis. The report would not matter if it had been ordered by a physicians who could read the actual image but mine was ordered by a neurologist and most neurologists cannot read the image and depend on the radiology entirely on the radiology reports.
