He is very smart. He is very matter of fact which some might view as arrogant. He explained everything in detail, telling me why meds I was on weren’t working. He explained everything about the new meds he prescribed. He spent a lot of time with me and I didn’t feel rushed. He told me several times to call with any problems or if I had more questions. I would recommend him to anyone suffering with headaches.

I drove over and hour with high expectations to see Dr. Nersesyan today. He has zero bedside manner and belittled me the entire time. He was rude, unprofessional, and no help at all. He said, "You've already tried all of the migraine medication in the world and they supposedly don't work. What do you want me to do?" I will be filing a formal complaint. I have suffered from migraines since I broke my neck and had severe brain trauma in 1996. This isn't new to me, but he treated me like I was an idiot.

Knows everything
Dr. Nersesyan is a very, very, very smart man. However, he knows he’s very smart, so he can certainly come off as patronizing. As a result, he’s definitely not everyone’s cup of tea. But he knows what he’s talking about when it comes to headaches. I had been misdiagnosed for decades. One appointment with him, and he gave me an accurate diagnosis of an uncommon headache with a very simple solution. And when I have flare-ups, his office gets me in quickly for additional treatment. He can be grumpy and arrogant. But I will praise his knowledge forever.

I went to him for headaches that I hadn't had since discovery and resection of a pituitary macro adenoma in 2017. He proceeded to tell me that my neurosurgeon, a colleague of his, did not know what he was talking about when my neurosurgeon identified the tumor as macro-adenoma. He also proceeded to tell me that there is no such thing as an indention still in the optic chasm from the tumor (when there are medical journal articles stating such, MRIs that prove it). He also proceeded to tell me the way I was addressing my headaches was wrong. I have plenty of medical knowledge and was addressed as if I was an imbecile. I will not see him again. I hope my follow up appt with APN is better.

I have suffered from debilitating headaches since I was 6 years old and I'm 50. I have seen a few neurologists in my life. I'm not very easy to deal with as a patient. I have had a lot of experience due to a very rare disease for the age I was. I'm also a health care professional. So far the medicine has completely eliminated my headaches!!!! There are no words to express my gratitude!!! To Dr. Hirachya Nersesyan
