Dr. Heather Bedell, MD

I had a not so great experience. Heather was my OB. She was very polite and kind at appointments, but fell short when it mattered. She told me I wasn’t in labor when I was and sent me home. Then I called the ER at 2am crying in labor pain and they patched me to her. She told me that I wasn’t in labor but if I REALLY felt like I needed to, then go in. My husband made me go in. I was very discouraged but in a lot of pain. Turns out I was indeed in labor. She had me push for 2.5 hours until I couldn’t keep my eyes open and felt like I was losing consciousness. My child was born healthy, thank goodness. I didn’t know but I had hemorrhaged pretty bad during labor. The next day she discharged me without having had me try to walk around first. Little did I know, I had a hemoglobin level of 6.5. The minimum your body is supposed to have is 12. As I tried to walk out of the hospital I was dizzy and dry heaving. I ended up in the ER days later to get a blood transfusion.

Dr. Heather Bedell is an amazing doctor! She truly cares about her patients. She went out of her way on her day off to put in an order for me to get my babies heart checked out that following day! To some this may mean nothing but to me it means the world & for her to feel the same way is just amazing to me! If you're looking for a compassionate down to earth doctor go to Dr. Heather Bedell!

I couldn't imagine a better doctor than Dr. Bedell. She was patient, kind, and truly interested in my baby as well as myself. She made me feel at ease throughout my entire pregnancy. My baby was breech, so I had to have a c section and Dr. Bedell made it something to look forward to instead of something scary. The surgery was very fast and without complications. I would definitely recommend Dr. Bedell for anyone in need of an OB/GYN.
