Dr. John Amsbury, DO

From the first appointment onward, Dr. Amsbury provided thorough information, options and excellent care. My own Primary Care Practitioner recommended him to me and I see why! His staff and the staff at Trinity were all excellent! I highly recommend them all.

Dr. Amsbury did a recent surgical procedure on me. Pre-op care was very good and the surgery went smoothly. Aftercare instructions were clear. The whole team at Trinity did a great job!

I am an Utah citizen and had a major health scare a few weeks ago. When I couldn’t get into any doctors in my own state, my sister who is living in the Minot area, reached out to Dr. Amsbury and told him my situation. He immediately took action. He gave me a call, answered all of my questions, discussed my concerns, and then set up all of my appointments and surgery within just a couple of days! It was amazing! He and his staff worked tirelessly to get past the roadblocks my own state kept putting in our way. I felt so cared for. I flew to Minot right away and Dr. Amsbury met with me in person. He explained everything about the surgery in detail. He stayed after hours to answer all my questions and make sure I felt ready. The surgery went very well, I have been healing quickly. He spent time on a phone call with me to see how I’m doing. He sent a fax to my work to keep them informed of my needs. I have never met a doctor with so much heart and compassion. I am truly thankful for him!

Dr. A knew when to refer us to specialist for infertility when the issue was outside of his scope and skill level, which I personal thing is a quality quite a few physicians in Minot lack. Based on that, I was impressed and we sadly misplaced a lot of trust in him. After going through IVF we were excited to be pregnant. Our first appt, Dr. A started the appt telling us we were no longer "special" (red flag #1) and that it was a normal pregnancy. He spent more of that appt treating us like children than patients. We never had any expectations of being "special" patients, but we were understandably nervous and scared. Most appts were quick and we felt fairly dismissed with questions & concerns (red flag #2). At our 20 wk U/S his office failed to schedule the correct amount of time for multiples (red flag #4) causing the techs to rush & miss potential preterm labor signs. My babies were born sub 26 wks & almost died due to his lack of concern and making sure we knew we weren't "special".

I had an amazing experience with him. He has done surgery on my daughter and myself. Amazing bedside manner.

He and his staff are absolutely wonderful!!

Dr. Amsbury is absolutely amazing!! Although my pregnancy was boring, which was a good thing, when delivery time came he was there for ALL my needs. I'm having another child and I an proud to say Dr. Amsbury delivers my children! He listens to me and shares his knowledge with us! Truly a great guy and Dr!

I am not nor was I very pleased with this doctor. Didn’t listen to my concerns wrote them off. I’ve had a few kids so know myself a bit and more than once I was right. We almost didn’t make it through the delivery and later surgery. Was a horrid experience all around both doctor and hospital.

I would and do recommend not only him, but his staff. Never received better bedside manner or quicker assistance checking in, scheduling, etc.

He was so helpful and down to earth. It was my first pregnancy and he made me feel comfortable and relaxed. My delivery went so smonthly thanks to him and the nurses who were wonderful! I really can't boost on him enough!

I just love Dr. Amsbury.... He is awesome! He saw me during my pregnancy this past year and also removed 6 fibroids off of my uterus about two weeks ago! I'm healing well and feeling great. If you want a doctor who is down to earth who makes you feel comfortable and who feels more like a friend as well as your doctor of course go see Dr.Amsbury!! He's the best out here in Minot,ND.. His staff is also great as well!

As an employee at Trinity Health, I cannot say enough nice things about Dr. Amsbury! Personally and professionally, he is hands down the best in Minot!
