Very professional
I couldn't have had a better outcome as it totally relieved my pain. Lots of great communication from his office staff. Liz was great from beginning to end.

I am a physician assistant in the local medical community, and the office offered no professional courtesy. Besides that they informed us that my mothers visit would be self-pay as they do not except insurance. I was OK with that because the best people cost money. They told me the fee was $500. For that price The surgeon spent 2 to 3 minutes with my mother to tell her that he doesn’t operate on 90 year olds. His assistant spoke with her for sometime but no examination of any kind was done. Then they sent a bill to her for $600. My mom gets very stressed out by any pending bills And she went to the office with a check for $500 already made out. They did not ask her for payment at the time and she waited the bill which had inflated by 20%. The only service they provided her with the business cards of four providers within the Hss system that handle chronic pain . We could’ve found out the same information with a Google search but instead my mother has to pay $600 for his “expert“ opinion. Ratings websites are frequently abused, and I have worked with doctors that are the victim of such things. But this is coming from the heart from a medical provider in the area and I feel that everyone should know the kind of office and the kind of man this is.

Success
I had an Anterior/ Posterior lumbar spinal fusion 2 weeks ago. I am having minimal pain, and getting better each day. I was having back pain for 5 years and should have consulted sooner. Dr. Sandhu explained my diagnosis and treatment options thoroughly. I felt completely confident after researching and consulting many surgeons. He is an expert in this field.

After consulting with 8 surgeons over 18 months in NYC and SE Florida, I selected Dr Sandhu because of his confidence in the procedure he would do for me ( a 3 level ACDF surgery), the quality, focus and low infection rate at the Hospital for Special Surgery and the protocols used by the hospital such as using an ENT surgeon to assist in 3 level or more surgery and recommending only a soft collar for 2 weeks post surgery.

Arrogant, dismissive and RUDE! After 2 hours in his office, Dr. Sandhu spent about 10 minutes with me & told me that my back looked like a lot of others & he would not do surgery: “surgery on WHAT?” As he was leaving he suggested I should get a more recent MRI. When I pointed out that I did have one & that it was right there on the screen in the examining room, he still did not look at it! He then suggested I see a neurologist & left. I have since had surgery and am now 98% pain-free. There are plenty of good doctors who will treat you respectfully- I suggest you forget this guy & find one of them!

This doctor is amazing . He has operated on me two times . Both times have been a success, all fears calmed and questions answered . Lovely staff , great hospital . Could not have asked for a more beautiful bedside manor and a genius in the spinal surgery field . I was in excruciating pain at age 51 - now I’m back on my bike a few months later . What a blessing . Love and gratitude to this man !!! Thank you !

Would NOT recommend. Ordered x-rays in-office and pre-appt BUT refused to review the images w/ me or offer an any opinion except to say it was "terrible." Failed to assess my back or look at it, never tested range of motion, didn't ask about my limitations or pain or what caused my problem in the first place. Suggested "therapy" but dismissed request for any referrals. Clearly only wants successful outcomes. He had a chance to review my case before offering me an appt. Total waste of time.

I have only had a consultation with Dr. Sandhu at this point but am planning surgery. He is a wonderful physician. He is knowledgeable and involves the patient in the decision making process as well as educating the patient and family. I like that he does microsurgery and uses the least invasive procedure that will solve my problem.
