Dr. Schonwald retired several months ago and I signed papers to get my records transferred to another Urologist and they have not received them after all this time. I tried to call Dr. Schonwalds number listed here and of course it has been disconnected. I am very disappointed by this.

Changed urologist when Dr Schonwald insisted in his right to not wear a mask during the examination. This is during the resurgence of the virus, late June! He even came forward to shake my hand! He says he takes his temp every day! But what happens while he is not symptomatic between infection and symptom development or he does not develop a fever at all but has been exposed to the coronavirus and passes it to others that could be severely impacted by it? (A doctor OK!)

Wonderful! Both my husband and myself go to Dr. Schonwald and feel he is the best urologist we have ever had. He has a great staff, too. He always takes his time with us, and makes us feel like we are very important to him. I went to him for a very large kidney stone and my husband went for his prostate. He did an excellent job for both of us. We highly recommend him.

Extremely intelligent individual. You will not find a better Urologist in Hernando county. I'm a redneck,simple man. I prefer to have an intellectual genius with serious skills working on my body.. Anyone who says he and his staff are snobby or uppity should be glad. I prefer a doctor who is well educated and more intelligent than am. He'll I don't think he even likes me. That being said I am so glad this professional is working on my body.Wouldn't have it any other way. God bless you Doc!

He is a very caring doctor, listens to what your problems are and gives you the best advice on what to do about it, he doesn't try to push you into anything that isn't necessary. He spends the time to get to know you as a patient and not a number. I would and do recommend him to anyone that is looking for a Urologist. His office staff is at the top of there game and they go above and beyond for there patients. He give him a 10 out of 10!

This is the worst Dr I have ever dealt with in my life! He is rude and he rushes! I had kidney stones and was seen by him in the hospital. He had a terrible attitude from start to finish. He did not clear out all of my kidney stones so I had to have another operation for them. He started treating me for a complication he never told me about. He would not see me at his office after the operation unless he was paid upfront, even though I have health insurance. I would never recommend this guy.
