A Wonderful Man and a Great Surgeon
The first thing one realizes when meeting Dr. Aliabadi is that he is a mild unassuming guy, no airs, no arrogance. He is above all a kind, caring physician who only wants to help you and cure your condition. He explains the problem in words that even a layman like me can understand. Excellent surgeon
Skilled surgeon that explains surgeries needed clearly and in my case a lower invasive option. Went from having great pain to being fully functional. Office staff is very efficient and friendly. I will and have recommended him.

Best neurosurgeon
I was involved in a life threatening spinal cord injury in December of 2022. I was operated on immediately by Dr Hamid Aliabadi at Sutter Roseville a surgery that saved my life. His professionalism and excellent patient care are top notch. Special thanks to all the Sutter Roseville staff, especially Michelle in the trauma Clinic!

I think Dr. Hamid Aliabadi, M.D. is the most caring amazing DR I have ever met. I was in the worst pain ever In my life and had to have emergency surgery. My pain was gone right after my surgery. Dr. Hamid Aliabadi took the time to speak with me and was straight forward with me. Even with my after care visits he took his time with all his patients. I highly recommend. Thank you so much for giving me my life back.

Great Experience
Our family met Dr. Aiabadi during a ER visit on my part. He has been in our corner ever since and continues to provide input on my treatment over 8 months after he performed my first surgery. Of all the doctors we have interacted with during this cancer adventure, he is one our favorites and whose opinion and input we value immensely. His bedside manner is compassionate, caring and most importantly honest. Additionally, he took the initiative to refer us to another specialist for a second opinion and an additional surgery. We will always be very grateful for him!

Meningioma Tumor
Dr. Aliabadi latterly saved my life two weeks ago when I showed up at the Sutter Roseville Emergency Room with what I thought was a Storke. He was the neurosurgeon on duty and immediately had me admitted to the hospital that evening. The tumor was removed the next morning. His explenation of the process was second to none. Even though I was scared he reassured me I was going to be ok even though this was a brain tumor! I am forever in his debt and highly recommend Dr. Aliabadi for all your neurological needs.

Forever Grateful
I just saw Dr. Aliabadi for my final appointment after he performed surgery 2 years ago for my debilitating sciatic nerve pain. I am so grateful to have such a caring and capable surgeon. I was able to water ski last summer, something I did not think I would be able to ever do again. He gave me my active life back. I am happy to have put my trust in him even though I was extremely anxious about the idea of back surgery. He was very patient with all my questions and tried several options before recommending surgery.I highly recommend Dr. Aliabadi if you are facing the decision of surgery.

Nevro SCS paddle
Had surgery with Dr. Aliabadi in July 2023 to install a Nevro spinal cord stimulation paddle. Unfortunately the SCS paddle was installed off mid-line due to scar tissue and also twisted on install. It does not work very well on my back pain. Dr. Aliabadi is a skilled surgeon and a very nice man. Apparently my pre-surgery MRI images did not show the scar tissue issue which was caused by migration of the trial lead wires. I do trust Dr. Aliabadi and would consider him for another surgery .... HOWEVER The office staff at Spine and Neurosurgery Associates is a 0 out of 5 stars. They are incredibly rude and smug. They do not return messages or emails. Every request of the office staff is met with resistance. They constantly complain about paper charting and not having the resources of a big office. Additionally, after my surgery Dr. Aliabadi went on a long vacation (leaving night of surgery). Meanwhile, the office staff took it upon themselves to cancel the pain meds ordered by Dr. Aliabadi

Lifesaver
I suffered a broken neck in December 2022. I could not feel my legs nor could I use my hands, I was frightened of my future. That night Dr. Aliabadi performed a 2 level cervical spine fusion on me. I am now 11 months post injury. I am walking. I can use my hands for nearly everything. Although I still experience pain periodically, I feel as though I have been given a 2nd chance in life. The man responsible for my having this 2nd chance is Dr. Aliabadi. He is a wonderful surgeon. He is also the nicest doctor I have ever met. I would strongly encourage anybody needing treatment or just an opinion to schedule an appointment with Dr. Aliabadi.

Dr. Aliabadi Is Our Hero
On Halloween night, our 12 year old daughter had an unfortunate accident. She fell, and hit her head on asphalt - fracturing her skull and severing 2 arteries in her brain. Dr. Aliabadi and his team were on call that night. He not only saved her life, but he gave her back the beautiful life she was living before her accident. Just months out from surgery, she is done with physical therapy, back in school, riding her horse, and enjoying time with friends and family. We are forever grateful that Dr. Aliabadi was the skilled neurosurgeon on call that night.

Dr. Aliabadi
I was terrified of back surgery, but after visiting Dr. Aliabadi, he totally put my mind at ease and I felt confident to have surgery. I'm 1 month past surgery and I no longer have pain in my back and legs and feel so much better. My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner. Dr. Aliabadi and his staff were so patient with all of my questions and always made me feel at ease with the procedure from my first office visit thru surgery and afterwards. I very much highly recommend him and his staff to anyone that has back pain and is considering visiting a doctor.

I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Aliabadi and also referred my father to see him for surgery too! Throughout the years, my father has always struggled with really bad back pain and there were times where he wasn't even able to get out of bed without screaming from pain. After working with Dr. Aliabadi directly in the operating room, I knew with his skill sets that my dad would be in great hands with him. Less than 24 hours of surgery, my father was already up and walking and said he felt instant relief. Fast forward to 4 years after surgery, and my father is now back to his active lifestyle and we are soooooo grateful to this most incredible surgeon with the best bedside manners. There's not a month that goes by that we do not think about him as he truly touched all of our lives. Thank you, Dr. Aliabadi for being an impeccable physician!!!

I am a senior health care professional and a healthcare lawyer. I called. for the first time, to get emergency advice on a serious issue. I explained to the assistant on call the serious nature of my cervical myelopathy and new symptoms. I was hoping neurosurgeon Dr. Kimball was on call. He was not so the assistant called Dr. Aliabadi. He told the assistant to tell me to go to the ER. He has laptop access to Epic the software used by Sutter. He failed to review my chart notes and most recent MRIs to understand my issue. He clearly knew that the ER could do nothing and he was the on call neurosurgeon. Further, if he reviewed part of my chart, he would know that the ER is a very dangerous place for someone like me with my comorbidities. Rather than take 10 minutes to call, in his hubris, he elected to take the easy way out. He claims to be a reviewer for the Med. Board of CA but after I contact them with my 30 years experience with the Med Bd., I intend to have him removed. Incompetence

Dr. Aliabadi has excelled in performing my recent back surgery. I recovered faster than the six weeks I had been prepared for, and am back to hiking, biking, and performing normal daily activities. This is after 2 years of off again, on again problems with my legs and restricted walking. I regret having delayed the surgery as long as I did. I believe Dr Aliabadi has an innate talent, which has been refined by his years of schooling and dedicated practice. He is patient and attentive to details. While I was obviously asleep at the time, I believe that applied to his direction of the entire surgery team he had assembled for my care. It also applies to his pre-and post-op care, where he answered every question directly, and without concern for how much time I needed. I hope I am done with back surgery. However, should I need the attention of a surgeon again in the future, Dr. Aliabadi will be my first choice, without reservation.
