Dr. Julius Ebinu, MD

Dr. Ebinu is a kind person and a crackerjack diagnostician. He performed surgery in my fractured spine and fused the vertebrae in three places. The resulting pain relief was very good. He has continued to care for my disintegrating spine and is always helpful and warm. His team are very skilled and helpful as well. Making an appointment is not difficult, but appointments are always several weeks away.

I recently had the pleasure and good fortune to be under the care of Dr. Julius Ebinu, UCD Spine Center, Sacramento. I had a three level discectomy and fusion of my cervical spine in February of 2023. Dr. Ebinu, was thorough, caring, and took the time explain the procedure and answer any question I had before and after the procedure. His examination was extensive pre and post operative. I was confident that the corse of action was well thought out and would be executed as indicated. His entire team at the Spine Center were exceptional in every way, especially want to point out Cheryl Shirley, PA. She was knowledgeable and able to provide the needed support and answers without hesitation. I have had an excellent result, better than anticipated by me, but fully expected by Dr. Ebinu. It's both frightening and intimidating when you trust your life to a stranger; but there was something about Dr. Ebinu's manner that gave me confidence. Everything he said about the operation and recovery came true! I am close to 72 years old and had great concerns about a 3-level spinal fusion and laminectomy at my age; and Dr. Ebinu was analytical, calm, confident and reassuring. Excellent surgeon with devine gifted knowledgeable, very helpful , understanding, polite and words cannot express any more. My husband just had a 6cm brain tumour removed in less than 5 days after diagnosis. Dr. Ebinu made us very comfortable and secure with it all. Dr. Ebinu impressed me a lot over past several weeks or so when my wife needed spine surgery and Dr. Ebinu was her doctor. Dr Ebinu was a Godsend for me! After years of back pain, with the feeling in my legs diminishing along with my quality of life and after seeing other doctors whose approach only gave me temporary relief, Dr. Ebinu’s approach, his attentiveness and the calm and informative style gave me the hope I needed. We loved him from the start. Very open, very positive, and never rushed. From the first time we met him, the morning of the surgery, he immediately gave us confidence in his abilities to perform the surgery, and my ability to emerge from it. His aftercare was outstanding, keeping every promise to check in, and showing genuine concern for my well-being. We feel very fortunate that we had him to perform this procedure, and can only imagine that he is a huge asset to the UC Davis team!

Fantastic.... I was quickly scheduled for urgent spine surgery due to the severity of my condition.... Younger, high energy, friendly, compassionate, professional, good-looking, cheery, and folks, let's not forget the chaotic and heavy workload and the commitments these doctors have to deal with...I wish all doctors could be like him. Excellent surgeon, extremely thoughtful and compassionate. Saved my life!!! He made sure i fully understood everything before and after my surgery. A compassionate human being and a knowledgeable physician to boot. We need more physicians like him as he showed genuine interest in my well-being as a patient.

Dr. Ebinu wasted 4 months of his colleagues & my time. Only to have his employer intervene & pay extra for me to go out of network (Urgent Referral) due to him refusing care. Less the 24 hours later his employer called to apologize for their doctor's unprofessional conduct. Dr. Ebinu does not communicate w/ his colleagues, medical staff & patients. If you like your Doctor to have a God Complex & treat you like dirt, then he's your man. Otherwise, I suggest you found another Neurologist.

Dr. Ebinu is very thorough, intelligent and kind. He answered all my questions and concerns and offered wonderful alternatives to surgery. I highly recommend seeing him!
