He helped my husband with hip replacement, and he did my knee surgery. Very thorough when talking you in what will happen during surgery and what to expect.

Dr. West may not sugar coat much, but that’s because he’s an army doc, he is about being efficient. He’ll give you everything you need to know, he makes himself available pre and post op, makes sure you and the one transporting you home knows what to expect. If you consider he was an old army doctor, you can understand his expectations & manner. Efficiency with Dr. West includes attention to detail & quality of work, but it goes farther than that. He truly does care about his patients & their well-being. I know he has many other patients, I’ve never felt like he was too rushed to be thorough and address my questions and concerns. If I ever need surgeries again, I hope he’s at the helm. If this were a restaurant review, I’d say “Would eat here again!”

Blunt and sometimes brief, but knows his stuff, especially sports medicine-trauma. Fixed what a hack of a Dr. had done with an unstable intertrochanteric break I sustained.
