Caring and attentive
Dr. Michas cares about his patients. Also, he is a *real* psychiatrist. He has range and treats people who are under 5150 holds, all the way to doing routine, non-emergency care. As a bipolar person, I can rest assured, knowing is equipped to deal with any emergencies, seeing as he spends ample time in the hospital setting. He has seen it all. This is not just a run-of-the-mill psych who prescribes benzos to bored housewives. He truly wants to see you get better and is willing to be creative with medication solutions; he takes into account that sometimes people have a complex medication profile due to comorbidities. Highly recommend this doctor!

Very caring Dr. Listens and asks questions from the previous appt. to make sure issues are being resolved. If not he explores other options with you. I highly recommend him. Has great listening skills.

Dr. Michas is an excellent doctor. He is calm, patient, and down-to-earth. He listens well, responds thoughtfully, and takes his time answering questions. He’s also very smart without being pretentious or condescending, so important in a mental health professional! There’ve been multiple times I’ve had to call him between appointments, and he has never once made me feel finicky or burdensome. I found him at a breaking point in my life, and his help has made all the difference in my treatment.

Dr. Michas, in all honesty, is the truly the best Dr. I have ever seen. He is very patient, kind, caring and compassionate. He listens and talks about solutions. He ends our appointment reviewing everything we covered, so I stay on track. I wish I could give him 10 stars, as 5 just doesn’t seem like enough stars for Dr. Michas. I am very grateful for him as he has helped me through some very trying times.

I've had experience with numerous psychiatrists over the years, and I can say that I highly recommend Dr. Michas. He's kind, caring, and takes his time answering all of my questions. He has also been very patient in trouble-shooting my medications and finding the best doses/combinations. My quality of life has greatly improved with the medications Dr. Michas prescribed.

Michas used to be my psychiatrist as of last year. Was trying to balance school, finding a job, and figuring out how to work with what I have. He would really help you out with meds and concerns. The way he communicates is very direct. I appreciated the lack of pretense. Some people may not warm up to him because of that directness, and I'm wondering if that's why they felt rushed out (nah, just sometimes people communicate to the point). The only reason I did not continue treatment was that the clinic: Compressive Psychiatric Services, had a lot of issues with reception, paperwork, claiming I didn't pay a certain bill (even though I always showed up with my co-pay). And I did not want to put with billings and having to keep every receipt with my visit. Dr. Michas is a good doctor. But the clinic he works at... no. Too much "unpaid" billings.

I've been seeing Dr. Michas for over a year and I can honestly say visiting with him has saved my life. He's kind and patient enough to let me finish ugly crying and laughs at my jokes. He's a great doctor!

Dr. Michas prescribed for me shortly after my previous doctor retired. He treated me well and I am happy we titrated off some medications.

I started seeing Dr. Michas after moving out of state. He is a great doctor who listens and shows a lot of empathy. Even though I only see him every month or two, he always remembers where we are in my care. However, Florida Behavioral Health is a mess and I highly recommend seeing Dr Michas at his other location.
