Dr. Gopi Kasturi, MD

I was given epidural shots. He never explained what was wrong with my back or showed. During the procedure the shots were very painful and did not work. When I ask him for more He would not listen to what I had to say and just stared at me when I was done talking. He was very rude and show no empathy and said go to the front desk and I will give you more shots. I will never go to him again.

DrKasturi explained my X-rays and mri in detail . Suggested a course of action I agreed with. I have had two sets of injections that have relieved pain and I am walking well! He is very straightforward in his approach and I like that .

At the first, and only, appointment I found Dr Katsuri to be arrogant, derogatory, and rude when I asked a question about the success of a treatment. He apparently didn’t like the question and responded with it’s a bad question. He continued with he didn’t answer bad questions and that what I had asked wasn’t good. Sad to have a dr in this field that would rather demean you for a “bad” question than give an answer that a patient could relate to and understand and feel comfortable making a personal decision on. He, and I, agree we can’t work together but I wouldn’t be back anyway.

Uncaring, did not listen to my concerns. He was brief, offered me injections, and 3 weeks to “think about” that treatment. Then ended the appointment abruptly by telling me “good luck lady”, and walked out the door.

Dr. Kasturi is an amazing doctor. I had years of Extreme Sciatic pain. I had seen many doctors and they all literally just put a band aid on it. Dr. Kasturi on eh other hand saw that I had a bigger problem of Scoliosis and sent me to Stanford Neurosurgery. I ended up having a very extensive spinal surgery that made a huge difference in my everyday life. I will always see Dr. Kasturi when it is related to an Orthopedic condition that is in his expertise.

I have to travel an hour to get to this appointment. Check in and X-rays went smoothly. When finally called to exam room and waiting, doctor breezes in looking like he was coming from lunch or country club. Quick introduction then 8 minutes of him facing his computer and dictating into a microphone. Was discouraging in his evaluation, did not listen to my concerns. Handed me a paper to get scheduled for injections and breezed out. Arrogant, uncaring, unprofessional.

Dr. Kasturi and his office couldn't even get MRI approved due to multiple mistakes and upon trying to discuss the fact that I was getting no help he told me to find another doctor and walked out

I have medium to severe sciatica due to bulging discs and degenerative discs. I waited two hours for this doctor and when he finally arrived he was dressed casually like he just stopped in for a bit during his day off. He never made eye contact, he disregarded the list of medications I brought with me, and just stared at the computer the whole visit. I don’t remember being asked any questions about my needs, my concerns or pain. I asked him if I would be a candidate for a spine injection. He said no because he didn’t feel that I would be happy with the outcome because I was heavy and it wouldn’t work the way I hoped. And that was it; he stood to go, shook my hand and said he hoped he hadn’t hurt my feelings and left without offering any substitutions or options. I went to another doctor, got the injection and I’m greatly improved. I’m really glad now that he didn’t treat me & I went on to find the other doctor who knew what to do and did it.

I will never see this doctor again. I had to pull information out of him in order to know the results of my MRI. Beyond that, his bedside manner is terrible. He was dismissive and cut me off when I tried to explain how my pain had unbearably worsened in the last two weeks (which felt pertinent because it took months to get in to see him since my MRI). He told me to do chair yoga to fix my herniated disc. When I asked how yoga would help me strengthen my core, he told me that I could Google the answer, and then refused to answer my question. He tried to rush the appointment and was demeaning the entire time. He acted as if I did not want to put any effort into fixing my back, when in fact I have been trying to fix my back for over a decade. I never once said or indicated that I would not put in the effort to get better. I left the appointment in tears because of the way he spoke to me. He may understand the spine but he has zero understanding of how to speak to patients.

I rarely leave a review, but this one is necessary. I had the WORST experience with this doctor - and I've dealt with 3 decades of chronic pain doctors, therapy, etc. He had a very poor bedside manner, was rude and dismissive, and he did not care about me at all. He was full of ASSumptions and made me feel neglected, hurt, and upset. I would not go to him for any reason. I'd find anyone else! Good luck.

Extremely rude and condescending to me and my 94-year-old mother. He administered one injection to help relieve my mother's pain and she is still in misery. He was not concerned at all. Will find another doctor!

Dr. Kasturi understands the bodies pain cycle, and does a sequence of least invasive to more invasive procedures as needed to break the pain cycle. I have impinged nerves in my L3, L4, L5 and S1 and S2. The pain had me in constant pain and on pain medication 24/7. Dr. Kasturi went over the x-rays with me and was very clear that his recommended procedures would help me break the cycle of pain BUT I had to also strengthen my lower back and CORE. He recommended yoga, and using the elliptical. After nerve block procedures in the 5 areas, and a radio ablation procedure 7 months ago, I have been mostly pain free AS LONG as I keep doing the DAILY exercises and yoga to keep my muscles and CORE strong and relaxed at the end of every day. I do yoga twice daily (sometimes a third session if I did something I shouldn't have and over taxed my back). Dr. Kasturi is not going to hold your hand and tell you he can solve your problems UNLESS you do your part. He is a wonderful doctor.

I was treated in a very professional setting. Staff was friendly and caring. Did not have to wait long. Dr. Discussed my specific problem with hip pain. His decision to treat my situation was decided by both of us. I never have to worry about the procedures he does. Very pleased with Dr. Kasturi. He always answers any questions I ask. He never rushes me during my visits. Thank you Dr. Kasturi.

I am seeing him for my neck and lumbar pain that has not been improved until seeing him. He is a great doctor who genuinely cares about his patients getting better. His staff is wonderful.

Dr. Kasturi is compassionate, caring, explained conditions and recommended treatments exceptionally well; answered [in great detail] every one of my questions; never felt rushed; timely appointments - extremely short [if any] waiting times. I would explain more but I have run out of superlatives. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Kasturi.

No empathy whatsoever. All he wants to do are injections. He is cold and uncaring. Does not listen. So busy telling you what he doesn’t like about your handling of the lack of success he never hears what the patient is saying.

I wouldn’t go to this Doctor again. I had two epidural’s yesterday and it was the most painful procedure I’ve been through. They said they were going to give me medicine so I wouldn’t feel the needle going into my back, we’ll they didn’t give me enough and I felt the whole procedure. I Hit the side door f the bed and told him that it hurt, he did nothing and said nothing to me. When I called his office the next day, they said they couldn’t help because the Dr. wasn’t in. No empathy, no follow up. Now I am sitting in urgent care because I am in pain. Switching Doctors. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Worst dr ever! Rude & insulting. I was referred to him for help with back pain following a spine surgery. He had no empathy & no intention of helping me..all he wanted was to take away any pain relieving meds that helped me. He said I was overweight & too active & that causes my pain. What? I’m an active guy & don’t plan on sitting in a chair the rest of my life! He is not a caring man. I’d advise anyone to NOT go to this doctor.

If you are suffering from Back pain!!!! Dr Kasturi is the Dr you should see.He is kind, understanding compassionate and treats his patients very respectfully and professionally. In one word Dr Kasturi understands pain and he knows his stuff.

In my experience with this physician, I would not recommend him to anyone. I feel that due to his disinterest in taking the steps necessary to comply with insurance, this doctor interfered with receiving treatment for my injury. I switched doctors and have had much better success getting the appropriate treatment.
