Dr. Sorenson is patient and calm
He does a wonderful job of giving me my back shots. No pain for months, I have never had relief like this before. He is gentle and kind. I would highly recommend him to anyone experiencing pain.

Unprofessional and lied to
This is the third time I have been there, first one was a consultation went well. Second one was for a procedure, my wait time was almost 2 hours. The third time wait time was an hour in a half. Mind you these are for appointments that were scheduled at 730 am. Excuses from staff are "your the next one" "the doctor is not even here yet" "he is running late" That is unacceptable to me. If I coached my kids the way you and your staff handled you patience I would be fired. Maybe your staff when scheduling an appointment should tell the patients plan for a half day or full day off, I do have a job to get back to. Funny thing is the pain med worked on my back and I am the one who will suffer in the end, but into days society people should to be treated with such disrespect and or lied to by staff because the doctor is late to work everyday.

My mom saw Dr. Sorensen after 18 months of pain in her leg and not being able to walk on it her primary care doctor from behind his computer, "just old age". Never touched her, looked at the area just treated her for pain. She found Dr. Sorensen and he immediately went to work palpating the area hurting her. He suggested what he thought may be happening and went over his treatment plan for her. He was very kind, took his time with her and was very personable. He comes from a long line of doctors. His dad is a doctor, his paternal grandfather a doctor, and his paternal grandmother an R.N. All with outstanding reputations! I loved that he took his time with my mom, and has a good suspicion of what is happening. Thank you Dr. Sorensen for caring the way you do.

This man will schedule you for a 2 month or longer wait, just to blow off your appointment. No calls, no cancellation, just nothing. He expects crippled and injured people to suffer going to his office to be turned away and looked at like a stranger with dementia. The staff is incompetent and rude. The doctor clearly cares nothing for his patients and will allow them to suffer to death or be forced to find help elsewhere. He has blown me off 3 times now as mentioned above! He has also done the same to my mother who is elderly and severely injured. There is no excuse for this kind of negligence from a physician who should clearly understand their obligations and responsibilities to their patients. Terrible doctor, terrible staff. I will be reporting our experiences to the California Board of Medicine, and speaking to my attorney about this "doctor". I sincerely want to warn anyone that needs real help, please for your sake and the sake of your loved ones, find someone better.

The king of pain – Aug 19, 2019
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Sorensen?
Dr. Sorenson is compassionate, knowledgeable, and gives his patients the help they need. Jennifer Nelson does equally as well. Jennifer and Dr. Sorenson are both doomed by incompetent staff who continually act unprofessional. Juan, the assistant to Jennifer really let me down by not returning my calls and making promises to contact insurance provider and pharmacy but did not. I spoke with the office manager and explained the urgency that Juan return my call and she did her best but Juan refused

I have a severe allergy to all steroids and CANNOT have any type of steroid medications. Therefore injections and most procedures cannot be performed. A lot of pain management doctors only perform interventional medicine and they do not participate in monthly medication management with the usual contract agreement. I do have a pmd, Looking for a more experienced and pleasant dr. Also want one who is not about to retire.. Does this dr do medication management?

Dr. Sorensen and his staff are very helpful, kind, and caring. There can be, at times, longer waits, but I really believe that is because he takes the time to sit and listen and address patient's questions, concerns, and well being. He really wants to reduce your pain, and wants to figure out how to make you feel better. They do have a very busy office, but that's what happens when you find a provider that really cares, and wants to improve your quality of life!

The dr is great the staff is HORRIBLE!! They never return calls, (I called 5 times and left a message every time and never received a call back) I even asked for a call back from the dr (never got one and I'm sure it's because he was never given the message), I waited over 2 months for a referral that they said they called in (I ended up finding a surgeon on my own), you can never get you in and they are extremely rude and not at all helpful! I have stopped going to the dr because of the staff!

Great Dr. but if you have to deal with the office manager Elana at all it's a lost cause. This woman is beyond rude in person and especially over the phone. She makes me not want to come back no matter how much pain I'm in.

Me and my wife have been seeing Dr. Sorinson for over a year. Firstly, his previous staff have always been nice and conducted themselves in a professional and courteous manner. I'm not sure why someone said they haven't but we've been there a ton of times and always his staff were pleasant. Dr. Sorinson is an outstanding Dr. Sorinson listens to you and absolutely cares. He isn't robotic like some Drs. He gets to the root of your problem. overall he is kind, considerate, and all around great.
