Outstanding
When it comes to my cancer treatment, I am most interested in care and treatment that will be cutting edge, effective and timely. In this instance, I also have the benefit of a gem of a human participating in my care and recovery. This man has likely saved my life and I feel I can trust him implicitly with my care.

Excellent and Compassionate Care
When I was diagnosed with DCIS, it felt like my days were numbered. I went to MSK and ask for the earliest appointment with any breast surgeon. I was so lucky that Dr. Plitas was available. Dr. Plitas is a kind, compassionate and excellent doctor. There was one little gesture that he made when I was being prepared on the surgery table. I was fearful and all he did was held my hand until I conked out from the anesthesia. During that space of time, my fear left me and I knew I was in good hands. I recovered quickly and had no pain from the surgery. Many thanks, Dr. Plitas!!!

Dr. Plitas is hands down the most brilliant and caring doctor I have ever encountered. Upon my first consultation, he was through and thoughtful in his approach to my case and exhibited such concern and compassion. I visited him for a second opinion after being unimpressed with a breast surgeon in NJ, who seemed detached. Dr. Plitas instantly made me feel comfortable and at ease. He has the most gentle way of explaining things and is so humble and warm. I highly recommend Dr. Plitas.

I have multiple family members and many friends diagnosed with cancer. In my life, I've never met such an exceptional surgeon, physician-scientist and human being. When you're facing breast cancer or are BRCA+, you want not only a brilliant surgeon but a caring, responsive and compassionate one to help guide you through a very emotional process. Dr. Plitas is that rare individual. There are not enough words to thank him for his remarkable care. Any patient is truly in the best hands in the world

Dr. Plitas is the best!!!! He is kind, patient and thoroughly explained my situation. Gave me my options and ultimately performed a lumpectomy. From speaking with friends who had this procedure performed, I was expecting to have a dent in my breast after the surgery. I have no dent my breasts are the same size. I had no pain so I didn’t need to take the pain medication I received. My follow-up with Dr. Plitas was informative and most pleasant-he has the perfect bedside manner. NEO- NYC

Dr. Plitas is a Dr. that is compassionate, warm and sensitive. When I met Dr. Plitas I had received a diagnosis of DCIS (Stage 0). I shut down with the first discussion with another Dr. but when I went to Dr. Plitas, he had thoroughly reviewed all of my previous medical records, he scheduled additional test so that he could form is own opinion, he sat with me and my family and explained everything that was found, everything that needed to be done and put me at ease. I give Dr. Plitas A++++

when I found out that I had triple negative breast cancer I was, as you can imagine, overwhelmed. I immediately called Sloan and met with Dr. Plitas and was so happy with him. He is a wonderful doctor but he is also caring and has, in my opinion, the best bed side manner. I was so comfortable with him and honestly felt I could not have been in better hands. If you find yourself in a similar situation, and I hope you do not, please trust me you could not ask for anyone better than Dr. P
