Dr. George Hashisaki, MD

There was no proposed treatment or options. Just continue your medicine and be careful of stress (the only stress I have is not knowing what my problem is). I waited five months for that. He didn't have any more ideas than the first four doctors I had been to.

Dr. Hashisaki is top notch. Probably one of the best I have ever seen. Very thorough questioning and explanations. Highly recommend!

The physician answered all my questions and gave me very good reasons for any recommendations.

Outstanding people

The doctor who treated me first was not my regular doctor but he did all the treatment and was great.

Could not ask for better physician and surgeon than Dr Hashisaki.

Scheduled the appointment four months in advance, arrived on schedule and waited an hour. No one in the office administrative staff seemed particularly concerned, although did offer to reschedule in another four months after I expressed frustration over the delay. That was enough for me; total disrespect for other people’s time. I will definitely be looking for another option in the future.

Dr. Hashisaki is phenomenal. I’ve been driving 3+ hours (one way) to see him for each appointment since 1998. He has operated on my ear several times. As I have moved around several times and seen other very fine ENT doctors, each one of them has commented on how impressed they are with how my ear looks after all that I have had done. I can’t thank Dr. Hashisaki enough. I have the upmost respect for him and will be sad when he decides to retire. If you are unfortunate enough to need an ENT, I hope you are fortunate enough to find Dr. Hashisaki.

He may not be a great conversationalist but his surgical skills are phenomenal! Got my tumor out and I don’t look like I just has a stroke like most people do that have the tumor I had removed.

He corrected a botched mastoidectomy/adenoidectomy & since life has been wonderful! No more strep or ear infections. Very patient is making sure I understand every process & procedure. Thank you Dr. Hashisaki!

I love him. He may be a bit harsh and short but as a doctor and surgeon, he is excellent. He performed my full left hear reconstruction surgery back in 2014 and remove a Colestitoma I had. He also repaired my ear drum and ear because I had lost most of my hearing abilities on that ear and I had barely any bone left. He replaced the bone with new cartilage and made a new ear from scratch. I now can hear about 60% from that ear and never had any issues. I recommend him totally.

We've been extremely happy with Dr. Hashisaki. Our six year old son has a cholesteatoma. The staff at UVA was kind and Hashisaki brilliant. My son is two weeks out and has not had pain, dizziness, or complications.
