Cut dura and CSF leak, failed patch failed surgery hospitalized for a long period. Final product Arachnoiditis! Life ruined. Does not take responsibility for failings, so hard to trust medical field.

Did carpal tunnel surgery - I was referred by a NW surgeon. I went to seek pain relief and regain strength and feeling in dominant hand. DR C did the surgery and post op exam but let a RN remove sutures - RN left 3 silk sutures in the surgical site which MD said - No big deal - they will work their way out! After several post op visits I sought a Hand surgeon affiliated with NW. A second procedure was done to repair/repeat surgical site and previously remaining sutures. I continue to have severe nerve pain, loss of dexterity, numbness to the point that I suffered a 3rd degree burn while cooking. My experience leaves me with a distrust of NW's quality assurance. I received a letter from NW informing me that Dr Cybulski has retired. Sought legal advice and informed the law firm could not accept the case due to conflict of interest!

I have not met a more experienced and caring surgeon. I would recommend him, and Northwestern, to anyone needing neuro care.

I had injured my back running and herniated a disk: L1S5 or L5S1 (I always confuse them). Regardless, I couldn’t sit for longer than ten minutes without pain, couldn’t sleep for longer spurts than2/3hours and had a hard time bending. Dr. Cybulski performed a laporoscopic discectomy on me three weeks ago and I felt immediate relief. No more pain running down the back of my leg and I can sleep eight to ten hours straight!! I am also driving and even sat for a pedicure for 45 min! He’s the best!!!!

My other Dr's put me at m.m.i. 3 1/2yrs ago, I've been miserable and dealing with a lot of pain, Dr cybulski found the problem immediately, had surgery and only 2 weeks post op and feeling better already. Just wish I found him many years ago.

This review is on behalf of my father who has been Dr. Cybulski's patient since 2015. I have attended about 90% of dad's appointments with Dr. Cybulski. Dr. Cybulski is an excellent physician; very approachable and understanding. He is able to explain in detail and address any concerns. My dad has had two back surgeries since 2015 and will likely have another before the end of 2017. My dad's back is quite messed up but Dr. Cybulski is confident my dad will get well.
