My daughter was in a horrific car crash in 2015 and arrived in the trauma center at Research Medical Center with a GCS of 3!! Prognosis was very grim. Dr. Blatt removed a large piece of her skull and saved her life, literally saved her life. Three months later he put her school back in and boom!!!!!! Recovery was a breeze!! If you didn’t know her, you would never know she was in a near fatal car crash. She is a mother of two beautiful children and works hard for her family. Our entire family will be eternally grateful for Dr. Blatt!!!

As much as one does not want to visit a neurosurgeon, Dr Blatt and his staff make it as enjoyable as possible. And, Dr Blatt explains his findings in a manner that is understandable and clear. He does not rush into a decision about surgery, unless it is an emergency. I appreciate Dr Blatt and recommend him to anyone in need of neurosurgical advice.

I had almost complete blockage of my spinal cord. Dr Blatt reconstructed the area 18 years ago. It was a total success! And he is very kind and easy to talk to.

Considering that we are currently under a "stay at home" order due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I was pleasantly surprised when Dr. Blatt's office called to setup a tele-health visit via Zoom since I am a new patient to his practice. Dr. Blatt was very nice and had reviewed my MRI, and even with a couple of technical difficulties we were able to have a good conversation about my care and the plan moving forward. I would give them five stars except that I haven't actually met them to receive care yet so I'll reserve the last star until that time.

SCREWED UP MY BRAIN PROCEDURE. ENOUGH SAID.

The appointment was on time. I have been trying to get answers about the pain in my back and hip for three years. The staff ask me to show them how I walk and other exercises. Doctor Blatt actually talked to me and explained my options. I received my disc from my MRI that I had taken to him in the mail yesterday. I would recommend doctor Blatt.

I like and appreciate Dr. Blatt. But the office records staff and his nurse left a lot to be desired. I left my last appointment visit with the recommendation from Dr. Blatt that I needed cervical neck surgery ASAP. There was no paperwork given to me on departure. I called the nurse and she told me to go to the Patient Portal for information. I had already done that and it is non-functional. I asked that she email me the surgery nomenclature and the visit notes. It never happened. I then called the records department who called me today. The lady confirmed the the portal site isn't used. She would only send me the info requested in the mail. All in all, I rate the doctor as good but the support staff leaves a lot to be desired. Remember that this is supposed to be about the patient and it has been lost along the way by the staff. A group is only as strong as its weakest link. Because of the dysfunction, I am seeking a second opinion. Ed Kline

Dr Blatt is the best neurosurgeon in the world! He saved my life over two years ago. He truly cares about his patients and has a great bedside manner. Jan(office staff) is professional and friendly. I look forward going there.

Dr Blatt and his whole office staff are not only professionals who have an excellently organized system but they are compassionate and kind. Dr Blatts surgical skills and knowledge are at the top of his specialty. He was referred to me as being "the best in the city" and that proved to be true. His right hand Ashley went above and beyond during my recent back surgery and couldn't have been more caring and understanding. I would highly recommend this office and plan to refer anyone I know who needs their services. In today's world of rushing you through like cattle, they are the extraordinary exception.

Saw the Nurse practitioner made she was very nice and thorough. Then Dr. Blatt came in and he was also very thorough. He answered all my questions and told me what to expect in the future.

Dr. Blatt was very friendly and knowledgeable about the options for my case. We discussed every side of the surgery and even declining surgery. What the time span for recovery would be. Talked about the side effects and even the unforseen complications. Never once did they not have an answer or give advice on a question I had. Dr. Blatt stated that even though I chose to have the procedure, that right up to the minute of taking me back for the procedure, I could change my mind and he was totally fine with that. He came to my room the next day and checked my incision and asked how I was feeling. Told me what to expect over the coming days, and what limitations that I had. Overall, I felt very comfortable from the initial consultation, scheduling the procedure, having the procedure, and discharge. Very skilled and professional man that is patient and understanding of the situation and is the doctor that I would recommend to anyone having Neuroskeletal problems.

Dr Blatt and Ashley were absolutely, hands down, the most caring and compassionate health care professionals from which I have ever received services. They answered all my questions patiently and did not seem in a hurry to move on to the next patient. When I got emotional, I was comforted and reassured I will make progress. I cannot thank them enough.

Everything went smoothly from check in, to phone calls answered promptly and with very good information. The Doctor was pleasant and informative. Jan is an amazing check in person, and she is super nice and informative over the phone. You don't always get that when you call other offices. It was very much appreciated.

I was able to get in right away, without a long waiting in waiting room. Everyone was courteous and genuinely concerned of my health care. Dr. Blatt listened wel, and finally gave me a diagnosis without just trying to mask issue with medication. Thank you.

Dr. Blatt, Nurse Ashley, Jan, and the entire staff made my experience perfect. Dr. Blatt is absolutely knowledgeable about his field. He holds 2 patents in the industry, he takes time to explain everything and it’s so easy to talk with him. Ashley, also, is knowledgeable and she is so accessible. Jan and the other members of the staff are extremely efficient. The office is unbelievably busy and, in spite of that, I’m impressed that they operate on a schedule that allows me to get in and out, and on about my day. My surgery went well, the recovery was even more comfortable than I had imagined it would be, and I felt well-supported by them through the entire process.
