Dr. Peter Basta, MD

This weekend marks a 1 year anniversary from my husband's surgery. Dr. Basta did a two level cervical disc replacement surgery. Prior to surgery my husband was in immense pain, he has been recovered now for a year and while he has some muscles in his shoulders that at times get soar, the pain he once experienced from the disintegrating bones and stenosis is gone. We would recommend Dr. Basta to anyone. Another doctor recommended a fusion, so glad we did not do the fusion, the replacement surgery was a complete success.

Dr Basta is extremely knowledgeable and explains things in a way that you understand what your options are. I like that he doesn't push surgery, but that he works with you and sees you through your options. He also treats you like a person, really listens and as my problems are very complex, walks you through each step. He also has a great team that never makes you feel like you have too many questions. I recommend him very highly.

I had a great experience from the moment Dr. Basta walked in the room. He showed me compassion & listened to my concerns. He put me at ease and I felt confident in his ability. By the time my appointment was over he had me laughing. Not only that, but he’s a highly skilled surgeon. I had a successful surgery & am now pain free with zero complications. I would highly recommend Dr. Basta!

I went to Dr Basta for a second opinion. I just met Dr Basta yesterday to discuss back surgery. I was very impressed with him. It was evident that he had reviewed my problems before coming in. He took plenty of time explaining everything. He explained what the operation and expected outcome would be. Also possible complications. I feel very good about having Dr Basta do my surgery.

Dr.Basta spent a lot of time with my husband and me . He gave us a wonderful explanation of everything that was indicated on my MRI and the possible solution and the realities of the results of the surgery that is the solution. This was my 3rd visit in 6 years the other 2 times he told me my problem was not bad enough to do surgery and we did other treatment. As I have aged it continued to worsen and now surgery is necessary. I appreciate the fact he gave me 6 more years before having major surgery.

Listens to what you say, tells you what is going on I words you can understand. He talks to you not down at you. He will be my dr of choice for my problems
