Like another reviewer above, I too was in the position of having to find another Internal Medicine MD after my longtime family Dr. retired and I was reassigned to another Dr. within the same medical group. Suffice it to say, I disliked this newly assigned doctor from the “get-go”. I found him to be somewhat arrogant and not willing to allow his patients to participate in their own healthcare. In other words, not a good listener or open to alternative methods or ideas. Whatever came out of his mouth was absolute and not to be questioned! I’ll review him, Dr. Eric O. Benner at another time. In any event, after extensive research I found Dr. Gary Sugarman. Credentials, Board Certified, Experienced and after my 1st appointment, I knew I had found my new MD! Dr. Sugarman is well respected and works with all the best hospitals. He listens to his patients in an unhurried manner and takes his time to fully explain his diagnosis and treatment plan in a professional and confident way.

Been with Dr. Sugerman for MANY years. Excellent listener, excellent diagnosis, excellent staff. He has never given me a reason to doubt him, and when ever I did I was WRONG!

I would definitely recommend Dr. Sugarman to my friends because they would get very professional care. He is friendly, courteous and I think he communicates very well with his patients.

I was referred to Dr. Sugarman, after my previous doctor (internist) retired. Since I had been with my previous doctor for over 20 years, I was very concerned about how I would be treated. I could not have been more presently surprised, with the service of Dr. Sugarman and his office staff. Being a sole practitioner, I did not go through the cattle call I have had with my other specialists. He was always well prepared to see me with lab results and the notes of my previous visit.
