Dr Kim is always a pleasure to see. I really enjoy having her as my primary doctor.

I work as a contract nurse for urology. I needed to be seen for conjunctivitis. The staff were very helpful. The front desk gentleman that helped me was able to get me seen earlier. I'm very thankful for your staff. I would like to take a contract position there is it were available. But I understand primary care does not use contract nurses. Please tell the staff that I'm sorry I didn't write their names. I'm terrible remembering names. But actions are what stand out in customer service. They were excellent!

I'm always happy with my appointments.

For the last few times I had to go to urgent care either fir myself or with my mom, it's been hard finding an urgent care facility to go to. Last time I went to urgent care at Tustin at 6 and the whole facility was closed. I called in asking about this and was told that only one urgent care center is open each day and no one knows in advance which one. The call center rep took some time to find out which one I could go to (Santa Ana). But by the time I knew this it was too late to go there. They would have probably not seen me even if I got there before closing. So I ended up requesting on call physician to help me. This time I call in for an appointment but there was no same day available. I was told that I can go to urgent care at Orange medical center and that I need to arrive before 4:45 when the last patient is accepted. I rush from work to get there at 4. Despite getting there at 4, I was told all the slots have been taken and they cannot see me. I was told again to go to Santa Ana. I told them that I was in pain and even if I rush to Santa Ana I will probably be treated the same way. The receptionist just say he can't help me. I ask if they prefer me to go to ER. He replied, "if you want to, go ahead." I was having a bad case of UTI and was very uncomfortable and needed to use the bathroom room frequently and can't run around from one urgent care centers to the next with no guarantee that I will be seen. I was desperate so ask to see his supervisor or Manager. The supervisor said she will ask if any of the other doctors would be willing to see me. Thank goodness that Dr. Kim agree to see me. The nurse who checked me in was rather inpatient and made comments like we need to finish this so we can all go home. Dr. Kim was wonderful and attentive. She listened to all my symptoms and prescribed the antibiotics that I needed. She is an excellent doctor and I am so grateful that she was willing to see me that day. It seems that access to care at UCI has been getting more and more difficult. Whether it's the urgent care centers. There are quite a few listed but then only one is open after hours and no one knows which one. Even if I could get to one before closing there's no guarantee that I will be seen. Aside from urgent cares there's a long (2-3) months wait to see any physician, primary care or specialist. Even diagnostic services such as ultrasound has a 2-3 months wait time. It's nice to see UCI expanding to serve more communities but it seems that the services are now over stretched and getting services is more and more difficult.

I saw Dr Jessica Kim at this appointment. She is very thorough. I would like to have her as my primary doctor from now on.

Was a little fristrated at making appt, coming in and paying for parking after having emailed my primary to see if I should rather be seen by a different spe ialty...only to be told I should be seem by the specialty I had asked about. Otherwise Dr. Kim was very personable and her NP intern was very nice.
