Spinal Stenosis Surgery on Husband
I found it comforting that he explained the surgery in detail before the surgery; afterward he provided all information and was a pleasant person to speak to during these uncertain times. I would highly recommend Dr Junn as would my husband.

Had a referral to see Dr. Junn went in 15 minutes early since it was my first time going there. Was greeted and was brought back at my appointment time. This is when the problem started. Nurse took my vitals and was left in room for an hour with no one showing up. I left without seeing a doctor. Learn how to see your patients in a reasonable amount of time. I will never return there. Called my referring doctor and he was shocked this happened. He’s making a new referral now due to what happened at Michigan Head and Spine. Advice: Don’t go here.

I had to wait 11 weeks for an appointment to see Dr Junn, at my visit I only saw a nurse practitioner, he was very nice, but that’s not what I had waiting all this time for. I was then sent a bill for $20 and I had over paid my copay at time of visit per BCBS EOB and no record of payment at all on there end. Next I went to cancel my upcoming appointment as I had to wait 3 months again and they have no record of the appointment and I have the appointment card right in front of me.

I began dealing with progressively worsening back pain for almost a year. I got referred to Dr. Junn who was very professional and knowledgeable. He performed a laminectomy on me and after a few weeks my pain finally decreased. I am several months post surgery and rarely feel any sciatica pain anymore. I am glad Dr. Junn performed this surgery and would recommend him if you have been advised surgery is your last option to manage your back pain.

My husband had a stroke, brain aneurism, was successfully treated by Dr. Junn with surgery he desperately needed. He recovered over time with speech and physical therapy. Years later, he is functioning amazingly well. Thanks to Dr. Junn, an excellent neuro-surgeon.

Anytime you leave a hospital after surgery in more pain than you went in, what did Doctor do? Follow up was a, "too bad" attitude.. Don't be fooled by all the plaques on the wall, they were many years ago. E#xtremely disappointed in Dr. Junn

Just an amazing Doctor, I had a tumor fracture my spine @ T5 on Friday evening, it was Multiple Myeloma .... It was a 6 hour operation, I aced that operation, I could feel my feet & went from paraplegic to walking soon after my stem cell at Karmanos, I ended at DMC RIM, such an amazing facility with excellent Drs & Therapist.... I took my first steps there, learned to walk with help of Ekso's Robotic Exoskeleton ... the rest is history!

2009, dr. Junn saved my future. His excellent skill in neurosurgery kept me from being permanently and totally disabled. I was 38 and having a stroke from a clot in my brain. Less than a year after my later I was walking to my 8-year-old's classroom for parties without even a cane because of his quick diagnosis and skilled surgical treatment. I would recommend him to anyone needing such important surgery

Dr. Junn performed deep brain stimulation surgery on my mother, which resulted in a poor outcome. He did not do adequate pre-surgical imaging, not was he forthcoming in his prognosis or communication with the family. Most disappointing of all, he never followed up on her case once she was released from the hospital to a long term care facility. She never walked, talked or stood again, and died 18 months later. Incompetence and no compassion.
