Awful
Dr.Nelson did my colonoscopy 3 years ago. I am at high risk for colon cancer. I reached out to Mt.Sinai 26 times in 2024 to leave messages for Dr. Nelson to call me back as I had questions about how I was feeling. The operators were not helpful and apparently Dr. Nelson does not care enough to check his messages. As of today January,2025 and STILL no return call from the Doctor. My first contact was in September 24. Unacceptable.Avoid Mt Sinai and Dr. Nelson at all costs. Early detection is very important with most diseases. This hospital and their staff , I feel , will definitely cause death to those in desperate need of care. I have seen better pet groomers and veterinarians. Never experienced this level of unprofessionalism and lack of care. At Mt Sinai you are a customer NOT a sick patient.

An inconsiderate doctor He wants me to have a endoscopy and colonoscopy. But is unwilling to prescribe me a commode that I can use in my room. I happen to share a bathroom with other tenants in my rooming house. Now when I drink the medicine for the colonoscopy I'm going to need to get into the bathroom. What happens if someone is in there? My insurance is willing to pay for the commode but he's not willing to prescribe it for me. Thanks alot. I cancelled out with you.
