Rare condition that I was dealing with. They got me in quickly and the team and Dr. Bowden were reassuring and knowledgeable. Dr. Bowden was very thorough and was able to help with the diagnosis and treatment along with images to rule out other things. Very thankful.

Spent 3 weeks going to him. From day one I felt rushed in to new and expensive, out of pocket things. Near the end of the third week, he wanted me to come in for some kind of in socket plastic ring for my eye. The procedure would cost me over 250, and I was expected to not move my eye once the thing was in. A completely absurd concept.Two days before I would have had to go in for the procedure, I called to get a reference for a consultation. I requested it be from a doctor not associated with Bowden and his company. When Dr. Bowden's team lead, Tony, called me back, I was directly and in no mixed words told, 'We will not be giving you a reference for a second doctor as we are confident in our assessment.' I WAS FLOORED. This was Dr. Bowden's team leader telling me this! Last I checked, the consultation wasn't for them and their confidence in their assessment but for MY confidence! They also closed my account there, so I'm likely unable to get my file from them for other doctors.

Very thorough. Dr Bowden and his staff took time to explain and answered any questions I had. Office was clean and neat. Everyone was Friendly, polite and professional

Best doctor ever. I've been a patient for about 18 years. I had an eye infection that could've end up bad. Doctor's in Jacksonville were not able to assist me and I wasn't able to have proper care nor get any type of results of my situation. But, I'll never forget the day I met Dr. Bowden..I sat on that chair and he said...." I know what you have". We need to start meds asap! THANK YOU! YOU SAVED MY EYE! and no issues after my eye transplant. And yes many, many times I sat for hours with my babies. But, I didn't mind it. He's the best.

Dr. Bowden performed a very difficult on my husband recently. His blind eye (since 4 years old) had a scratched lens, a Morgagnian cataract and needed a cornea transplant. He had tremendous pressure in his eye prior to surgery. Dr. Bowden was able to diagnose the urgent issue and performed a 2 hour surgery which was highly successful! We have great confidence in Dr. Bowden as he restored my husband's good eye after a stroke 10 years ago. We are extremely grateful to have such a skilled doctor in Jacksonville. Not only is Dr. Bowden an outstanding doctor is an incredibly nice person......friendly, compassionate, dedicated! He has a very friendly, helpful staff and an immaculate, beautiful office! We were stressed when trying to bandage his eye after surgery and called the after hours number. We received a prompt call from an extremely kind, helpful doctor on a Friday night!

I'M VERY PLEASED WITH DR. BOWDEN. I WOULD NOT CHANGE FOR ANYTHING. YES I'VE HAD TO WAIT 2-3 HRS OR MAYBE LONGER TO SEE HIM. HE IS A VERY BUSY DR. HE TAKES HIS TIME WITH PATIENTS & EXPLAINS EVERYTHING TO THE PATIENT. HE HAS SAVED MY EYE SIGHT. I HAVE HAD NUMEROUS SURGERIES & PROCEDURES BY HIM AFTER SEEING DR. JAMES STAMAN AT FLA RETINA. DR. BOWDEN CAME HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO ME! I WAS BORDER LINE OF BEING BLIND WHEN I FIRST SAW DR. BOWDEN. TOOK ALL DAY TO DO ALL THE EYE DROPS THAT HE PRESCRIBED. I AM NOW DOWN TO DOING 5 EYE DROPS A DAY. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. BOWDEN TO ANYONE!!!!!!!!!!!

It is to longer to be sitting in any doctor office. I was a doctor of at 3:00 And my Appointment is 3: 30 is now 5:00 And am still waiting . You that far to sit here a wait. Blephex done my last visit after spending $475.00 and I same problem I

There's no better doctor that I could recommend in our area than Dr. Bowden.

They surreptitiously got me to agree to take additional and questionably needed tests by stating it would be "covered at 100% by my insurance." However, upon exiting after the first of three tests I was charged $50 copay. After I explained that I had been told by their employee that my insurance would cover 100% of the bill, they insulted me with a dismissive attitude and basically said, "too bad." I would not recommend using their services.

Dr. Bowden is amazing! He is incredibly compassionate and spends real time with me during my office visits, he doesn't rush through the appointment. And, let's not forget to mention that my custom Lasik has changed my life dramatically!

The entire staff is GREAT, the front office ,technicians, nurses and everyone in the surgery center. I've been to another eye center and it was like night and day. At Dr.Bowden's the staff are concerned not only about your issue but as you an individual person. I could feel this vibe from the very first day I walked in their center!! Everyone is very courteous, professional and knowledgeable which made me feel much more at ease about my severe eye injury.

Definitely recommend. May spend too much time with patients some days but if ever I have lots of questions, he always stays to answer them all as well. My condition is improving now that I am in his hands.

Dr. Bowden is an excellent doctor. But that is all he has. Wait time to see him once you arrive for your appointment is normally 2-3 hours. His staff tries to sell you cosmetic treatments, allergy testing and so many products for eye related issues. The amount of different testing on your eyes is outrageous. Seems to be a way to fleece your eye care insurance company. I have been a patient of his for ten years. No more.

I saw Dr. Bowden for almost one year. I made numerous visits to his office and it took at least three hours or more every visit until I saw Dr. Bowden. At my first visit I was informed that I suffered from "dry eyes". Almost every time I visited his office I was informed about a procedure that would cost me more out of pocket expenses. I felt like the cash register was always going! I paid about $3000 myself and saw no improvement with my eyes. I would avoid him at all costs, no pun intended!!

Dr. Bowden and his staff are absolutely amazing and so professional. I have been a patient there for a few years and everyone has always been quite knowledgeable and pleasant.

I am so thankful for Dr Bowden and his attention to detailed care. They presented several treatment options and I left educated on my condition. The wait time can be long at times, but once you are in front of him his only focus is on you and a personalized treatment plan. So thankful I was given options!

He did LASIK on my eyes and I now see 20/20 without glasses!

Simply amazing! Finally a team of docs who listen to what is really going on with me! I am so thankful for the time and attention to the health of my eyes!

I saw 4 ophthalmologists before seeing Dr Bowden. He was the first one to listen to my complaints of severe dry eye. By treating it aggressively, he halted the destruction of the glands which supply oil to the tear film. If I had not been treated by him, these glands would have been destroyed beyond repair. My dry eye condition is dramatically better and I cannot thank Dr Bowden enough. I would recommend him very highly to anyone needing treatment for their eye problems.

Dr. Bowden is by far the best medical professional I have ever encountered. He is genuinely concerned with not only the reason for the visit, but also in taking the time to address other issues that can arise at a later date and informing you of your best options. His staff is very detailed and organized in assisting you in your plan of care. I am very satisfied with my experiences here and highly recommend anyone to visit him for your eye care.
