Aggressively indifferent to my pain
I’ve met this doctor once. It was not a pleasant encounter. I presented to the ER at HonorHealth Deer Valley Medical Center on 2-22-25. I arrived with my wife & daughter - but they were forced to leave (at no fault of Dr. Daas) due to my daughter being less than 12yo. There went my support system. I suspect Dr Daas quickly convinced himself that I was a ‘drug seeker.’ Why? After complaining of 10 out of 10 abdominal pain & dry heaving. I was asked ‘What pain medicine would you like? Dead giveaway. But, I’d been in severe abdominal pain all February. I was diagnosed with an operable 6cm hiatal hernia 2-18-25 for which I’d been prescribed Sucralfate known to cause intestinal blockages in severe cases. In fairness, Dr Daas might be a gifted diagnostician…regardless I contend Dr Daas is FAR more concerned that a drug seeker be prevented from enjoying narcotics versus a legitimate patient in severe pain being mistakenly refused a sufficient dose of narcotics to provide comfort.
