The Worst
Dr. Morro does the minimum . I presented to the Mayo ER Clinic for several medical concerns today. He disappeared almost immediately and sent in his clown nurse assistant who was equally unprofessional, rude and unqualified . I was admitted two times to the ER department today because Morro only treated me for one medical complaint. Another doctor had to readmit me, examine and treat me. I will never return to the Mayo Hospital in Phoenix

Excellent physician
Dr. Mirro is professional, knowledgeable and compassionate. He listened well, communicated with specialists and presented the diagnosis and treatment plan. Extremely pleased with his care.

Professionalism, knowledgeable, caring provider.
Visited the emergency department at Mayo Clinic on 7/27/2023 because of hearing loss, tinnitus and severe ear pain. Dr. Morro saw me and was very concerned about the symptoms I was exhibiting, he made sure to perform all the necessary physical examination and ordered a thorough blood test and CT scan of the affected area. When I explained to him that I already visited an urgent care last week and was prescribed an oral and otis suspension ear dropper and was regularly administering both treatments without success, rather than being baffled or puzzled by the ineffectiveness of these medications, he performed a simple medical procedure that not only relieved pressure in my ear, but the pain rapidly subsided. He prescribed me additional ear dropper medication and scheduled a follow-up with a specialist. He answered all my questions, and resolved all my concerns. With all the stress and overworked environment this busy ER was showing, Dr. Morro was patient and caring for my needs.

Good visit
Saw Dr. Morro in the Mayo Clinic ER. His care was thorough and he answered all my questions. No definitive diagnosis but the concerning possibilities were ruled out. Overall happy with the care.

NOT Helpful
Occasionally, patients will forgo compassionate bedside manner for excellent medical care. Dr. Morro possesses NEITHER of these qualities. I shattered my wrist this summer. He put ice on it and sent me home. Because I was crying hysterically for hours, he said I was “anxious and depressed about the break.” How patronizing! When I couldn’t feel my fingers six hours later, we returned to the ER. The other doc tried to set it (unsuccessfully) and I was rushed off to emergency surgery. Not only was the bone shattered, but the tendon had torn completely off my ulna. Had Dr. Morro been competent and/or compassionate, I would have received the care I needed when I needed it most. Unfortunately, we don’t have the luxury of choosing our ER doctor, but I will NEVER let him near me again. I made the MAYO Clinic aware of his blunder, but they did NOTHING, not even an apology.

Terrible Doctor
I came into the ED unable to urinate. I had a kidney transplant a few yrs back. Dr Morro got extremely frustrated when I referred him to my records on file for dates of procedures since my transplant. I explained to him I was really uncomfortable and that I had over ten surgeries/procedures since then. My mind was wasn’t thinking straight due to being in distress. I then asked him if he could check my kidney function before sending me home. He commented back saying I had just had it tested two days prior and that my kidney function couldn’t change is such a short time. I’m glad it was checked. I ended up being admitted. Why is he still practicing. He obviously doesn’t care for his patients nor job. I will be filing a complaint with the hospital.

Arrogant. Rude. Condescending. Would not listen to my explanation of why I was in the ER. Three times he mis stated my symptoms, so I had to try and explain again why I was there. Worst experience I have ever had with a medical professional.

Worst of the bunch. Can give doctors a bad name as he will traumatize anyone who has never experienced an ER visit. Spoke at me, doesn’t even ask any questions and assumed he knew everything without ever speaking to me. Typical burnt out know it all who only sees in black and white. Book smarts and money may have given him his M.D. but there is no compassion or logic in this man.
