Dr. Royal is thee best GYN I have ever had. I've been going to her for 10 years now. She makes what has been in the past the most uncomfortable experience quick and easy. I'd rather go to her than the dentist, and that's the truth. She spends ample time with her patients, but not so much that her appointments get behind. She moves swiftly, but never makes me feel that she's in too much of a hurry to answer any questions I might have. She has wonderful support staff, and everyone is professional, yet kind. I recommend her whenever anyone asks and sometimes when they dont.

There aren't enough words to express how thankful I am for the care my teenage daughter received after a very scary and painful ovarian cyst rupture. Dr. Royal's professional knowledge, warmth and level of care cannot be matched. Happy to report that our wait time has usually been minimal. Please remember that as you are "impatiently waiting" for routine care, Dr. Royal may be in the next room "compassionately caring" for a mother and her unborn child during an "unscheduled" crisis. :-)

Dr. Royal was my OB/GYN for years (when she was with VPFW). I loved her and was sad about having to switch doctors when I moved states! Especially since I haven't been able to find another OB/GYN that I like as much. I'd definitely recommend her.

Dr. Royal is wonderful. She actually found the lump in my breast, I feel like she saved my life! I have been very happy with her through the years.

The review is not about Dr. Royal, but about VPFW. My daughter saw Dr. Royal after waiting for over and hour in the waiting room we liked her, but she has since left the practice. We had a co-pay of $35 that two front desk staff "wouldn't take" when offered because they said the visit was a "well woman". Ins, paid all but the $35 but they would not schedule a follow up appt until we pay $35. Despite my ins paying over $100, they sent my bill to collection after 30 days. Not going back.

My mom and I both switched to Dr. Royal after Dr. Rabahan retired. BIG MISTAKE! While Dr. Royal is personable and nice in the office, she absolutely lacks any follow-up. She simply left a voicemail about an abnormal pap and her nurse never returned my follow-up call. She also seems to only write birth control prescriptions for a month at a time. It is absolutely ludicrous to call and ask the nurse to refill your prescription every time. Apparently bedside manner does not translate to competence.

My first visit with Dr. Royal was outstanding. She was so attentive and caring and so very easy to talk to - right from hello. I did have a bit of a wait... 1. she is worth every minute! 2. understanding that this type of medical care is very unpredictable. there is a good chance that at some point in time we were the one that caused the doctor to run behind. Patience and understanding. I am so pleased to find a great doctor for my care. Thank you Dr. Royal.

I waited for over an hour to see Dr. Royal this week. This is a common theme with this office that I have overlooked before, but arriving 10 minutes early for an appointment at 10 and not being seen until 11:10 is beyond ridiculous. My care provider should value my health, but also respect my time. She's a great doctor, but this is absolutely unacceptable.
