I saw Dr McBride when I was having terrible joint pain and could barely walk. She was incredibly warm, thorough, and kind, and ordered a big work up. It turned out that I needed an ortho surgeon, but before sending me away, she went through my scans very carefully nonetheless just sharing some thoughts and giving her support. When I apologized for wasting her time she said, no nonsense! I’m here to help! Her bedside manner and thoroughness seem wonderful.

Waste of time & money
Dr. McBride spent less than an hour over an in-person and video appointment, deciding my widespread joint pain, Raynaud’s, eye/mouth symptoms, etc. required physical therapy for my shoulder. Until I completed the PT, she wouldn’t do anything else. Forget that it took two months to get an appt. Then, when I shared that my periodontist said I had an autoimmune disease and needed to see a doctor, she said he could call her if he wanted. She also stated my history wasn’t important, only what she could see in front of her. I now have to get another referral and find a new doctor. Do not waste your time with Dr. McBride. She either lacks basic medical knowledge or the curiosity necessary to be a competent physician.

I’ve had two experiences with Dr. McBride and neither of them were favorable. My 1st appointment was via telehealth and so I withheld my negative feedback because I thought an appointment in person would be a better experience. The doctor was dismissive and patronizing. She interrupted my questions and statements and dismissed my lab test results as “normal and not diagnostic” when they were clearly very abnormal, as pointed out by other physicians. The appointment was rushed and when I mentioned that my primary provider was referring me to another specialist for the abnormal results, she dismissed that as “not a reason” to see the specialist. Needless to say, I won’t be returning to or recommending Dr. McBride.

I agree with the negative reviews above. She is dismissive and was almost too eager to say "You don't have to come back to see me." She did not care that I experienced symptoms related to all of my previous diagnoses, and recommended I see a PCP. The reason you go to a specialist is because your PCP has recommended that. How does going back to a PCP solve anything? Her next step was to say "I'm only looking through the rheumatology lens and I don't see anything wrong, but yes you could test positive for something in a week." Again, unhelpful. In terms of communication, she needs to learn not to talk over her patients. I never finished a sentence without her talking over me. Also, she is completely condescending. When I was baffled by her diagnosis of me not having an autoimmune disease (despite me getting diagnosed with UCTD and Hashimoto's by countless other doctors) she just kept repeating herself, as if I didn't understand English. Terrible experience. I wonder if she treats everyon

I was really taken aback by the previous reviews... I've been a patient of Dr. McBrides for close to a year and she's always been upfront even when the answer is "I don't know". She's always polite, always thorough, and always a caring practitioner. I trust her, and highly recommend her.

Just DON'T. I'm 24 & I was referred to her to get answers to abnormal test results. I explained my symptoms and received dismissive responses, eye rolls, skepticism, and rudeness during my entire visit. I was told it is probably just fibromyalgia and that I'm probably just "sensitive to life". I went to a different provider who assessed my symptoms and looked at my results that were ordered and immediately received a different response. I was not "sensitive to life" and am now treating my health condition that McBride dismissed as not important to her. I do not recommend and am highly disappointed I had to get a second opinion.

Dr McBride has more interest in herself than her patient. She will send you on a testing spree of thousands of dollars and multiple appointments before she will prescribe an aspirin, much less a suitable drug for your ailment. Ask to complete a simple form for disability, she refused even though her diagnosis was consistent with the need. Ask for a diagnosis letter, you are lucky is you get two sentences and that can take a week or longer. Bedside manner? Not so much, seems more focused on her liability than your health. She may be a great internist or specialist in rheumatoid arthritis but she is not warm, nor fuzzy nor compassionate in her "bedside manner". And that is part of the "care" of the patient - emotional trust. I'd look for someone else.
