Great surgeon with bedside manners to match!
Dr. Ricchetti is a great surgeon. He took more than enough time, with my husband and I, explaining about his shoulder replacement surgery. He was very thorough. When my hubby had an issue and called....he immediately wanted to see him and took are of his concerns! He listened intently when we spoke to him and never spoke above our head. His staff was wonderful, especially Nancy. She was on the ball and got everything in order.I would highly recommend Dr. Ricchetti if you have any issues.

Doesn’t pay attention
Dr Ricchetti treated my father for almost 5 years. My dad's shoulder pain continued and Dr Ricchetti never did follow up testing or X-Rays. He did a baseline and then just gave shots in his shoulder for 4.5 years, never ordering another X-ray or MRI. Had he done his job and ordered more tests he would have caught the CANCER that was eating away my dad's shoulder and spreading throughout his body. By the time my dad was in so much pain and asked for an X-Ray it was too late and he passed away weeks later. Had Dr. Ricchetti ordered a simple x-ray and paid attention to my father's other symptoms in the 4 years preceding my father's death then maybe he could have received some treatment that could have prevented his pain and prolonged his life. I would never recommend anyone to go to him.

Dismissive, unprepared and uncaring
Dr Ricchetti was dismissive and unprepared to see me, did not give any new information or opinions, and told me to just live with my extreme chronic pain and almost nonexistent range of motion as it was an "Unusual Case." Did not even try to look into my history before I arrived, and even though I was referred by a colleague personally from out of state, he did not seem interested in trying to explore my issue and possible ways to move forward. I came to him because my situation was basically unheard of, and all I got to show for it was a large bill. Ignored repeated comments on how this issue has been occurring and evolving for over a decade, and kept insisting on only seeing the last year of data, which he did not even review or familiarize himself with prior to my appointment. He was vague in responses to questions and did not even have concrete ideas on how to move forward with exploring this issue. The entire appointment felt like a scam and not up to par with his reputation.

I we to to see Dr Richetti about shoulder. Had my MRI which showed severe atrophy of there's minor and quadrilateral space syndrome. He poo pooped a MRI Dx done somewhere else. He never found I have a frozen shoulder, never bothered to get an approval on my comp claim or PT. Very.poor quality. Did not trust him to treat me.

The history of my right shoulder would read like a "dark comedy" if it were written to be shared. Indeed it took a combination of humor, understanding of anatomy and lots of experience dealing with "that doesn't happen" happenings. Preparing for the 4th surgery I set out to find the one orthopedic surgeon who met my professional as well as human qualifications. Also, the institution where treatment took place was paramount. Cleveland Clinic was definitly that place having experienced the institution with by husband. As I began studying each available surgeon's education, printed professional articles, patient reviews and gathering the feelings each left me with my choice did not need any straws. Dr. Eric Ricchetti was my uncontested choice and from all aspects, one of only 2 physicians thru my time on Earth I trust with my life. His skills and human qualities are unmatched and a true test of this is the quality and respect from all he works with. Travel from Mi. is worth every mile.

I went to see Dr Ricchetti about my shoulders. First let me say that he was very courteous and very knowledgeable of the shoulder joints. That I really liked. He explained things very well so I could understand everything. He will definitely be the surgeon to operate on both of my shoulders. May I also say that the assistant Doctor working with him along with the whole staff there at Cleveland Clinic was very kind and courteous as well.

Went to see Eric for a second opinion after a failed rotator cuff surgery. Our consultation was pleasant and gave as much time as needed. His nurse, Tim Maggard, was also very understanding. Eric felt confident he could successfully fix my problem. I had the surgery at the Cleveland Clinic two weeks later. The Clinic, along with everyone involved, was first class! Dr. Ricchetti fixed my rotator cuff and repaired my torn bicep during a 3 hour surgery. After surgery, he spent time with my wife and even waited to get my two sons on the phone to listen to his post report. My wife said he was extremely helpful and descriptive. On the mend now, and I have had many follow-up phone calls from the staff.
