Dr. Edwin Theosmy, MD

Dr. Edwin Theosmy performed Left Hip Replacement Surgery on me on December 13, 2024 at JFK Medical Center. I have suffered for the past ten years or so with severe Arthritis in my Left Hip which was debilitating. I could not walk good and had pain every day. I finally decided to have this surgery and it was the best decision! The Arthritis is completely gone and I do not have any more pain. I highly recommend Dr. Theosmy because he is an extremely skilled surgeon. He takes his time with patients with any questions or concerns. He is a great person. I highly recommend him!

He is a caring and very patient physician. I never felt rushed during my post-op visits and he was very understanding with my feelings when it came to giving me my Cortizone shots in my hips. he answered every question and explained everything to me in detail of what I am to expect for these surgeries. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is having a hip replacement.

Dr T first saw me when the gel shots were helping with my knee pain however he told me straight it was temporary and that eventually I would need the TKR for each of my knees at some point. At 64 I knew I wanted to get back to hiking and yoga which I was limited in doing. I faced 2024 as my year to have the 2 surgeries and working with his team and the experts at Hackensack Meridian Old Bridge for the pre and post op I was in good hands. I did pre and post op PT and in both cases was back in motion within 2 months of the surgeries. Dr T and his team are terrific and I was supported and in good hands during it all. I highly recommend Dr Theosmy!!’

Had a knee replacement surgery in May, Dr. Theosmy was very patient and professional, and a all around nice man. He's comes highly recommended

Dr. Theosmy was professional, thorough and very patient. He listened, and asked questions to get a better understanding of my issue. I felt heard, and appreciated that he was so easy to talk to. My only complaint is with one of the receptionists (his partners receptionist). When I first walked in I didn’t realize that there were 2 windows and I didn’t notice the sign that said the doctor’s name (my fault). I told her I had an appointment and mentioned my doctor’s name (I was polite). She told me it was the next window, ok no problem there. However, when I was checking in with my doctor’s receptionist, the 1st one says to one of the other workers “ I guess there should be a sign and they both laughed”. Not only is this unprofessional but it wasn’t warranted, nor necessary. Didn’t make a good impression of the office staff. Thank goodness my doctor’s receptionist was sweet and polite.

I fractured my tibia on march 18th 2024. I had emergency surgery and had a rod placed in my leg along with screws to stabilize. Withiin 10 days Dr Theosmy had me in PT on a bike. By 5 weeks I was walking with a cane by 6 weeks I had no booot and no cane now in my 11th week June 6th 2024 I have been cleared to resume all activities with no restrictions. Dr Theosmy has been great and his timeline of understanding how the body heals has been on point. This experience was a lot easier with him as my doctor.

My Mom fell and broke her hip. Dr. Theosmy performed surgery on her. Everything went very well and Dr. Theosmy was very friendly and approachable. He explained everything and was very open to answer any questions or concerns. The office staff in Old Bridge are also very friendly. Overall a very good experience and we would recommend highly.

I visited Dr Theosmy for a painful swollen knee. I have RA and osteoporosis, His explanation of my condition as well as treatment options were easily understood. He is professional and personable and well versed in his field. I would highly recommend Dr. Theosmy.

dr. theosmy was a total unknown to me before this adventure. his associate was the one I planned to use but he will not be doing that anymore. I lucked out! dr. theosmy was attentive, explained everything up front (including the bad parts) and has a very gentle touch. he pays attention to everything you say and responds to every question. it's only been less than one month but so far I'm delighted with him.his office staff? not so much.
