As soon as my mom and I got to her first appointment with Dr. Obedian, we felt at ease. The entire staff took the time to help us understand the process step by step and answered all our questions. They help my mom feel comfortable during her treatment session. I would recommend Dr. Obedian and his office to anyone for the great service.

I am a 77 year old woman diagnosed with lung cancer. I was recommended to Dr. Obedian for radiation treatments. I have COPD and anxiety issues and was scared to death. After my primary meeting with this man, I felt God had put me just where I was supposed to be. He offered thorough explanations, answered my 100 questions (big smile), and led me through a step by step description of my treatment. He made everything happen in a seamless manner, and, true to his explanations, all was exactly as he said it was. His staff mimmicked his whole demeanor, and my integrity was cushioned with the sympathy and empathy shown to me during every step of the appointments, testing prior to treatment and the before, after and during of the treatment itself. In early 2023 I was diagnosed with cancer on my eye lid and tear duct. Surgery was not an option as reconstruction would have left me disfigured. As a 93 year old woman this was the very first serious illness I had ever had. I was very frightened that I would lose my eye. I met with one highly recommended radiologist. The office was dark, the doctors and nurses somber and it was a good 40 minutes from my home. I was heartbroken and depressed that this would be my reality for the next six weeks. After meeting with a top eye surgeon, at OCLI in Syosset, and sharing my experience I was referred to Doctor Edward Obedian, a Radiation Oncologist, at Catholic Health Cancer Institute. From the first moment I spoke to Stephen, the Administration Assistant, on the phone to make an appointment with Dr. Obedian, I felt like I was in the right place. My elderly aunt is a patient. Very easy to get an appointment. The staff was wonderful and compassionate. I am a distance away and I felt very comfortable leaving my aunt in there hands. From the minute you walk in to the office you know you are in a special place. With such a serious diagnosis they made her feel at easy throughout the entire treatment process.

Dr Obedian is simply the best. He is smart, and kind and he really listens. He makes you feel as if you are his only patient. He explains everything in detail, and takes the time to answer all your questions. Every doctor should be like he is. We are glad we found him again at his new location at St Francis Hospital in Greenvale.

When I started this journey, I feared how physically and emotionally draining it was going to be, however Dr. Obedian made this process so much easier and calmed all of those fears. Dr. Obedian checks all the boxes! He is highly skilled, extremely professional, very friendly and takes the time necessary to put you at ease and thoroughly explain everything. When one is faced with conquering cancer, you want Dr. Obedian at your side! A true professional; he takes the time to explain every step involved in the treatment, never makes you feel uneducated & never rushes appointment time. Questions are always answered & all test results explained. Can't say enough good things about Dr. Obedian!

Dr. Obedian and his staff treated me for almost 3 months. I could not be happier. My wife and I met with Dr Obedian before beginning a 9 week treatment program. The Dr could not have been nicer. He spent a long time with my wife and I and explained my course of treatment to us in terms that were easy for us understand. A couple of weeks later , I returned to the office to get "measured up" for my treatments. The 2 women who took care of me, explained how each of my treatments would go and answered all of my questions. I then got a phone call from the scheduling department to set my schedule. They were very accommodating and I was all set to begin my treatments. I needed 45 treatments. I was fortunate enough to have Denise, Bruno and a student treating me 95% of the time. They are a great team and we always had a few laughs during the treatment. The other 5% I was with George and Sonny. Everybody was awesome. The level of care shown to me was unbelievable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

When my urologist told me he sent his family to Dr. Obedian that was good enough for me. As a new cancer patient he was very supportive and took the time to answer my questions. As a practice ARC is great. They accommodated me when it came to treatment times and the staff is exemplary.

I believe Dr. Obedian saved my life. The office staff were both friendly and professional, they did their best to make you feel comfortable during a not so pleasant situation. Dr. Obedian had a wonderful bedside manner and seemed to really care about his patients and their situations, I am very thankful to him and his team at the Plainview office.
