Incredible doctor and terrific person. He really cares about his patients. The best bedside manner of any Dr I have seen. Very calm and explains everything in detail. Does not rush you like other Physicians. He really cares about his patients. If you need a Radiation oncologist, there is no better Doctor, trust me.

My surgeon recommended Dr. Bernstein and I am very pleased. He asks questions and covers all bases. Courteous and kind. The staff at the Riverhead office are cheerful and caring. Katie and Lee are exceptional technicians and the office manager Katie, is very accommodating. I have never waited longer than 5 minutes for my appointment. The location is not on a busy road. Very accessible. I would recommend Dr. Bernstein and his staff. I will miss them all when my radiation therapy is done.

Dr. Bernsten is very knowledgeable. Kind and caring. He is not an alarmist. His positive attitude made my recovery a breeze. His staff is wonderful. Very sweet and considerate. I will miss them all. I would highly recommend them. Very professional, yet down to earth. You will feel very comfortable from your first visit till your last visit.

Dr. Bernstein is not only a wonderful doctor but also a great human being. He has a genuine deep concern for his patients, always calm, explanations are thorough and as a patient I never felt rushed. There is always time for questions and answers. He always gave appropriate options including all details. All these characteristics shine through his warm personality. I am pleased to have chosen NSHOA and Dr. Bernstein for my health care at this time.

I was and still am quite impressed with Dr. Bernstein. At our first meeting he explained my diagnosis and options of treatment in a kind and respectful manner. I immediately felt confident in him and the decisions we made together. He listened carefully and looked at me while answering my questions and concerns . I felt Dr. Bernstein cared and was very patient centered. During treatment, I felt he was always watching out for me by checking how I was feeling and checking in with the technicians .
