Everyone was absolutely fantastic

It may have been my misunderstanding, but it sounded as though my Doc and I were in agreement. We ended up on different pages.

I came to be evaluated for my right hand. I suffered an injury and had multiple surgeries back in 2017. Today I came in for a doctor's note to document my injury and current mobility in hopes of getting physical accommodations for the NY Bar Exam. The team was unfamiliar with writing a doctor's note and was not receptive to the guidelines I provided. The note I received was incomplete and lacked almost all the necessary information I asked for. I was taken aback that no one seemed to have experience writing medical notes for academic or professional accommodations.

The provider who first entered the room prior to Dr Deal did not introduce himself, so I do not know if he was a resident, fellow, etc. Perhaps his unprofessional manner is why my clinic notes states my elbow is not painful? It is indeed VERY PAINFUL and I feel that my concerns were not heard.Dr Deal as always was most professional and offered time to ask questions. I told her very clearly how my elbow hurt so I do hope she will amend her clinic notes.

Dr. Deal is a knowledgeable and fine physician. She instills confidence in the patient by her explanations and a sense of caring. She and her staff help to make you feel at ease and comfortable and in good hands. I would recommend her and her staff to anyone.

I have visited Dr. Deal at the hand clinic a few times over the last 10 years, including a surgery in 2019. She is always friendly and on time. The fellow who was working with Dr. Deal that day was also kind, and informative. They took time to listen and answer any questions. I needed to see PT after my injection. They took me over to the PT office where I was able to schedule my first PT session and get the information needed for the next steps. Everyone was very friendly, pleasant, and ready to help. Without question, I had a great experience that resonates with patient care.

Dr Deal listened really carefully, clearly explained the condition of my hand & talked about options depending what the nerve study shows.
