Great Dr. and Staff
Dr. Roland and his staff always answer my questions, return my calls, and go out of their way to help me get an appointment at a time that is good for me. Dr. Roland has been my pain control specialist for at least 10-12 years and knows me and my history. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a Dr that helps with pain control. He cares about you and does all he can to help you, at least that has been my experience with him.

Discharged from practice due to taking anxiety med
Dr Roland has been prescribing pain meds to me for years. Started taking anxiety meds since I lost my wife to cancer. Told me my primary physician cannot prescribe anxiety meds. After several warnings by Dr Roland about this, my last visit he told me he can no longer prescribe pain meds to me as long as I am taking anxiety meds. He discharged me from his practice and no more refills. I am now forced to find a new doctor to treat my back pain. This doctor is really nice but he seemed worried about his license to practice. To deal with the audit, he purged the high risk patient. Me. I felt like a addict with this doctor at times. Also, the administrative side of his office is loosely run. The staff shows up late to work, we have to wait for them to get going. Also, never any clear direction on obtaining refills. You call the front desk or leave a message, but at times it goes nowhere and you have to keep calling. My recommendation is stay away from this practice. He’s fired.

I’m thankful I found him
I have been seeing Dr. Roland for more than a year. I’ve had spinal injections before and they did not work. Dr. Roland has had success with relieving my pain each of the four times I’ve had injections. He’s a compassionate , intelligent man who listens to his patients.

No, I would not recommend this doctor. He was 45 minutes late for the appointment. He recommended spinal injections even though I told him they didn’t work for me. Frustrated

I am 80 yrs young and my visit with Dr Roland was probably the most satisfying that I can recall. He asked numerous questions, wrote down my answers. Was deeply interested in my history and pain levels. My guess is that he spent an hour with me. I am having minimely invasive surgery this month which he will do. Thanks to Dr Daniel Troy for sending me to Dr Roland.

Well I've been going to Dr Roland for years. Then I moved for about 14 mths. I decided to come back to Illinois. With that I went back to Dr Roland he always did good for me until now. Nothing got better my back got worse and so did my legs. Instead of Dr Roland giving me the pain meds I've taken for the last 15 yrs he lowers my script and lowers the amount. I'm not happy I'm very limited on everything I can do now. I can't even stand at the kitchen sink to do my own dishes. I can't stand the pain. I've been doing allot of crying hurting. I've called his office left a message. I don't know what to do. I wouldn't wish my back pain on my worst enemy. I just wish Dr Roland would have looked into my file or even look at my pain med list I gave them. I like Dr Roland but now in worse off.
