Best Doctor I've Ever Had!
I saw Dr. Derek Bast while I was living in Indianapolis from October 2022 to February 2024. He was excellent - surprisingly so. He listened and engaged with my own concerns & experiences. He involved me in my treatment plan and made sure I was comfortable with (and aware of the reasoning behind) any medication changes.While seeing Dr. Bast, he was incredible helpful & supportive with the following health needs: mental health support, sexual health, and general health & preventative care.Easy to talk to, easy to work with, and easy to contact via MyChart - Dr. Bast is an excellent doctor and his standards of care are the rubric I've been using to find a new doctor now that I've moved out of state.

Great Doctor! Highly Recommend
My Doctor retired in 2020! I could not get into a new Doctor until the end of April at Ascension.Dr Bast scheduled an appointment early in January for a Physical after I had passed out in late December.My blood work indicated that I was diabetic and Dr Bast has been Great helping devise a health plan and has been very patient, caring and understanding.I feel very fortunate to be under his care.He listens, asks questions and is genuinely nice.If you are looking for a new Doc; I highly recommend him!

Excellent doc who really cares for his patients
Dr. Bast spends as much time as needed everytime I have seen him. He never appears rushed and makes me feel he wants the best for me.

Find a different doctor
Dr. Bast will write dorogatory remarks about you, to the point of falsehoods, lies, on MyChart if he doesn't agree with you. Using the word substances instead of the vitamin supplements. Big difference.
