Dr. Dennis Blackburn, DO

I was very scared to have sugery..,since I had never had any at 84year old but he told me he done on on it a 102 patient. So a bit the bullet and had hip surgery done. He is a wonderful and gifted surgeon,if I ever need another one I would have him do it.

My husband had a hip replacement. Dr. Blackburn was amazing. Great bedside manner. Surgery was successful.

The hip replacement went without a hitch. No lingering pain, back up on my feet without a walker in 1 month. I'm 90 years old. His after care is stellar! He keeps an eye on you for a lot longer than I would think was necessary, but he explained, it is necessary.

Dr Blackburn was professional and personable. I was scared and he calmed my fears. I was a very active playing basketball and hiking when I went skiing with family. I destroyed my knee and he took on the challenge and repaired it. Although we had to wait for swelling to go down to do surgery for a month, I can walk and run again! He got me back together and healed. I did my rehab with Star PT and the communication between offices was stellar. Thank you Doc B

I have an ac joint separation. It was a level 3 he said I could get surgery but it wasn’t a must. I sort of felt a little pressured to get the surgery he just talked about the diformity of my bone sticking out.My employer requested the FMLA form to be filled out by the doctor I paid the fee and they said they would fill it out. A week later they said the doctor refused to sign my form. Now I’m in danger of losing my job and being able to provide for my family because I didn’t want surgery. ??

It was by far the worst experience I have ever had with any physician. Not only did the nurse not allow me to explain my condition but the Dr made fun of me. According to him he wanted to “have fun with me”. Go have fun with your buddies Sr. I am, WAS, your patient!

Dr. Blackburn is awesome. He is a rock star when it comes to bones. I have had two hip replacements and one knee scoped and consider myself fortunate to have Dr. Blackburn as my surgeon. In addition to his unmatched skill in the OR, he has a professional and caring bed-side-manner, takes time to answer all your questions, explains all options and procedures and... has a great sense of humor. I recovered fast and with PT was back to my active life. I highly recommend Dr. Blackburn.

I was extremely impressed with Dr. Blackburn. He has a great bedside manner, very likable. Explained everything in detail so we knew what to expect and the dangers of the surgery of the total hip replacement. My daughter was very impressed too. I would definitely suggest his services to my friends and family. If I decide to have the procedure, I have the confidence needed to have Dr, Blackburn as the orthopedic surgeon to perform it.
