Best Podiatrist in Central Oregon
Dr. Nakadate is truly the best podiatrist in Central Oregon. He gives you all the options available, but with me started out conservatively and my injury healed without a surgery. He is very thorough and caring. He was easy to schedule with, is a wealth of knowledge and has years of experience. The medical assistant, Cheyenne is very responsive and knowledgeable. She answered all my emails promptly and politely.

A few years ago, I saw Dr. Nakadate and had surgery on my left foot. This was for an arthritic condition. He had me coming back to him for 6 months and getting x-rays on the foot without explaining why I needed so many. He just said he didn't like what he saw. He would walk in, look at the foot, and go back out leaving his aide to tell me what he said. He refused to come back in even when I had questions. I finally just quit going. Fast forward a couple of years and I ended up with plantar fasciitis which is where the physical therapist pointed out my big toe didn't touch the ground. Now I am having other issues associated with this foot, and falling because of numbness, and am looking at another surgery to fix it. One thing he says a lot is that he could do these surgeries in his sleep. I think maybe that explains a lot.

All of my visits with Dr. Nakadate were very insightful and helped me to learn more about my condition. I felt that he was very caring and had extreme attention to detail.

The experience I had with Dr. Nakadate and his staff was horrible. They are a dishonest and deceiving people. I was lied too by his staff. 1 example I had, I was told to come in the next day for an appointment. The next day when I came in they told me it wasn’t until the next day after that. That day was the next day not the day after that. I could state a lot of other bad experiences I have had with this Dr. and his staff. To save a lot of space and time I do not recommend this doctor to anyone for their medical needs concerning their feet and ankles. T.S 06/18/2020

It has taken over 9 months for his office to do any paperwork correctly so I’ve been waiting that long for physical therapy after surgery. It took that long to get an injection too. I call and go in and the paperwork is never submitted in time or to the right person. AVOID THIS OFFICE!!! You will suffer permanent damage dealing with these people. I’m consulting a malpractice attorney today.

Absolutely the worst doctor I have had. Talked about his personal issues on both visits and spent very small amount of time talking about my medical issue. After the second exam I was supposed to be scheduled for surgery after insurance approved. After calls, emails to inquire; I never was given a scheduled surgery (5 weeks after my last exam!) I eventually went to another doctor and had surgery scheduled in about 4 day.

Absolutely excellent doctor! My daughter (11) had a very bad experience with another podiatrist. She was very scared and nervous going in to a new one. He made her feel absolutely calm. Explained everything to us. He made her laugh pretty much the entire time. We have to go back in 3 months and she actually can’t wait to see him again! And is no longer scared.

Had an awful experience with this doctor. The staff was rude and unwelcoming. The entire appointment was quite unbelievable, as Dr. Nakadate spent half an hour telling me about all the horror stories of what could happen to me after getting my bunion surgery, none of which had any relation to myself or my condition. He barely spoke of my options/the procedure in general. It was very uncomfortable and he made me feel very nervous about this simple, common surgery. I will certainly not be back.

After seeing a real foot doctor, I decided to get a second opinion for my foot that was diagnosed as 'Mortons Neuroma'. I was mistaken is assuming that Dean Nakadate was a real doctor, he is not, he is a Podiatrist. TINY exam room; all he did was talk about how expensive he is, furiously type into a computer what was an alibi; NO hands on exam & NO xrays; mis-diagnosed the correct first opinion by the real doctor. I am now relegated to limping for the rest of my life. My opinion-he is a quack
