Uncaring and make you feel like second class citiz
Us as health care workers, we usually get into this profession due to the empathy we have for the people we meet that become our patients. I can say that is not the case for Dr. Cobarribia. My mother is self employed and with that she has insurance through OHP. She was made to feel like a second class citizen because of her insurance and the Doctor stated that he had exhausted all resources on her and could do nothing for her after only three visits which included the bare minimum treatment interventions without any resolve. Sound like empathy? Sounds more like the doctor either didn't want to work with that insurance due to reimbursement of his services (IE he doesn't get paid as much) or he isn't a very well versed doctor in treatment interventions and is very limited in his knowledge. Either way it's not someone that my clinic, my family or my friends will be referred to in the future.

EXTREMELY INCONSIDERATE OF MY MOTHER'S SPECIAL NEEDS/PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS. BECAME QUITE DISGRUNTLED WHEN SHE WAS UNABLE TO HOP UP IN THE EXAM CHAIR AS IT WOULD CAUSE A GREAT DEAL OF PAIN FOR HER TO SIT IN THAT POSITION WITH HER LEGS HANGING DOWN UNSUPPORTED. WITHOUT OFFERING AN ALTERNATIVE SO A PHYSICAL EXAM COULD BE PERFORMED, HE (CARELESSLY) OFFERED ORAL STEROIDS OR PAINFUL CORTISONE INJECTIONS, BASED ON WHAT X-RAYS RULED OUT AS THE CAUSE OF HER FOOT PAIN. HIS ARROGANCE WAS EXASPERATING.
