Dr. Steklar has a natural approach to women's health. He does not push pharmaceuticals, but does use them when apppropriate.
His c-section rate is low because he works with the mother to allow her body to give birth in the manner in which it was designed whenever safely possible. I appreciate his willingness to listen to concerns and treat me with respect.

I have been going to Dr. Stekler for 17 years now, he delivered my son. He has always shown me he has genuine concern about my health, always explains his thoughts or concerns in detail which is very important to me. Today’s visit was no different. He took the time to listen and respond to my current health struggles and let me know how my exam was. If anyone asks me who I’d recommend for an Ob/Gyn I would definitely recommend Dr. Stekler.

Unfortunately, I really did not appreciate his harsh demeanor. I felt uncomfortable talking to him, didn’t feel like my questions were received well, and generally felt a lack of compassion. I often would leave wondering why he was in this field. When you’re growing another human being and feeling pretty ill at times, it’s nice to have a doc you feel comfortable around. He was not this for me.

I LOVE Dr. Stekler ! I have been with him since 2012. He has always taken my concerns seriously even though I can fixate on potential conditions that I may have. He gives great explanations and never makes me feel “stupid”. His sense of humor puts me at ease.

Appreciate Dr Stekler's expertise and concern beyond measure. Without his timely and accurate diagnosis would have not picked up ovarian cancer tumor and gotten it treated promptly. Much better outcome because it was found early. Would not hesitate to recommend him.

I have been with Dr. Stekler since 1991. I normally do not write reviews but clearly, it is warranted after I saw the last review. He is an AMAZING DR.! First of all, he goes fast because he actually knows what he is doing. He is quick and to the point, respectful of MY time, as well. I trust him because he doesn't just throw narcotics at you to dismiss your concerns, so if that is what you are looking for, he is NOTthe Dr. for you. Beware of threatening posts,some people are never happy.

Beyond disappointed with Dr. Stekler. He has been my doctor from 1996-2018. I will NEVER go back to him. He is always rushing doing things his own way. Very rude and has lost all compassion that he once had. He hates his job and can't wait to retire. Totally humiliated me in front of my friends and husband. He needs to be fired!!!!! Karma will catch up to him eventually:) I gave him a one star for recommending only because I had no choice. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY or TIME WITH THIS CREEP!!!!!!!

Sad to say, this doctor doesn't care for his patients. He comes in the room with his mind already made up about you and why you are there. He doesn't know you, he mixes-up facts, he tells you totally opposite things from one appointment to the next, and in the end, he will tell you bluntly "I don't fell competent to do it". So you have to deal with pain because he wants to do things his way and not what the patient asks. Save the heartache and the disappointment, get another doctor.
