Showed up on time, but I wasn’t seen until almost an hour later. When he got in the room there were no niceties, just straight to the procedures. No explanations, warnings, etc. The procedures hurt. Most doctors would talk you through things or help take your mind off the next 30 minutes of electrical shocks, but not this doc. I think he liked it. Then, he started jabbing with a needle. Dozens of times all over the body. Blood everywhere. He didn’t prep the skin or clean off the blood. When he was done he said “ok, we’re done. When you get dressed you can go out front.” That was it. Zero bedside manner. Maybe he gets good test results- I don’t know. I just hope I never have to see him again and, based on my experience, wouldn’t want anyone I cared about seeing him.

Dr. Rankine was my neurologist for roughly 15 years. I called his office in September regarding an upcoming appointment and got, "The number you have reached is no longer in service" message. He's in Anchorage, AK now. I wonder if his new patients know what he did to his patients in Chattanooga? What about the Hippocratic Oath. All med students must take it. In part of the oath doctors swear to "do no harm." According medschool.ucla.edu a lot of today's oaths swear by “'whatever each of us hold

Treated my wife for TBI- prescribed Gabapentin, Cymbalta, Aerocet, and Abilify but would do nothing for the migraine headaches and chronic pain from the TBI. Told me to take her to pain management who know noting about TBI. Not impressed with the care from this doctor.

Dr. Rankine is a very good, thorough, knowlegeable, sincere, andcaring doctor. The time he spends with you is quality time and he makes you feel comfortable and not out of place (or worried) about anything! I've been seeing him for 10 years now and have no intention of leaving! The ONLY concern is the waiting factor! That could use some improvement! But it is important to remember that he is a specialist, and as is the case with ANY specialist, additional wait time is to be expected!
