Dr. David Palma, MD

Spinal injection seemed rushed, helped for a few days then useless. Because it failed insurance, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield refused another injection i submitted for at MGH. I had to appeal and when I got the one at MGH Charlestown it was 1000% better and lasted about 6 weeks.. In addition, Palma's office staff lied to me about coordinating with my insurance...when I confronted him about it he wrongfully took their side and was then cold to me, the epitome of unprofessional. I rate his care as abysmal, the office as substandard. I'm very sorry I went there, I suggest you drive to Boston where in my experience there is far better care.

Dr Palma is always thorough and professional. He has been my doctor since he started in the practice and I respect his knowledge and professional skills.

Dr Palma is very friendly and as busy as he is he still takes the time to get to know his patients and any concerns I had. Explained everything to me in a way that I understand

He explained what could be going on & said office will be booking further appointments. I will go from there. So far I am very happy with Dr. Palma as a physician, I do not see that decision changing.

I have been consulting with Dr. Palma since April 2022. I have had chronic neck pain for over 30 years and more recently low back pain starting in April. Dr. Palma was absolutely incredible, truly listening to my long history of pain, treatments, self-care, etc. After getting two MRIs in May, one of my neck and one of my low back, he reviewed them at length with me. Since I am very knowledgeable about the spine and my issues, we discussed some treatments that would hopefully help. I understood completely what these treatments could do since I have had many of them in the past. We begin treatments in May, June, July and again in September. As I monitor my pain, symptoms and progress, I’ll report them to Dr. Palma and if needed we schedule another appointment for additional treatment and stay on top of the issues to try to achieve pain relief. I have worked with other specialists and I give him a higher rating due to his excellent communication, and genuine concern for his patients.

It was a very pleasing first visit, everybody was very kind and courteous, specially Doctor Palma.

He managed my cortisone shot and was very clear on the process and walked me through the entire procedure to keep me in the know. I appreciated his great bedside manner, which kept me at ease for my entire visit.

All business not much patient interaction also he took his 1:30 appointment before my 1:00 appointment. I asked his nurse why but she did not know why. I had to wait that much longer.

Dr. Palma was amazing. He explained the procedure with the next steps before we got into the procedure room, so I felt confident and prepared before we started. Once he began, he talked me through it and I felt comfortable the entire time. I highly recommend him.
