Really glad I found Dr. Kovacs. I (36f) have dealt with unresolved issues with joint pain and swelling my whole life. In my first consultation with Dr. Kovacs, he asked for my entire history so he could see the pattern to put the ultimate puzzle together. I love having the answers, validation, and a path to treatment. Could not have done it without Dr. Kovacs!!

Excellent! This was my first visit to a Rheumatologist and I felt Dr Kovacs was excellent. He was professional, personable, patient, very thorough and nice! He took his time and made me feel he really was listening/cared. I felt like I am in good hands and for my first impression , would definitely recommend. His assistant Ella was also very nice.

"Case too complex" without seeing patient!
His office made appointment, sent intake forms, and two days before appointment, his office calls to say he reviewed my (partial) record and thinks case is too complex. He is a supposed rheumatologist whose profile lists scleroderma but doesn't want to take the case because of my scleroderma diagnosis. Before cancelling, I felt he should have seen me in person and not rely on a partial record. He referred me to a clinic 2 1/2 hours away. It didn't seem professional and certainly not patient oriented. I asked to come in and see him and was denied.

He has been treating me for almost 5 years, and I actually don't mind going to these drs. apps! He's efficient, thoughtful, professional, and most of all effective! I have complete confidence in his recommendations and the office has been pretty good most of the time. There were a couple of times some time ago when they were quite condescending and thoughtless, but that changed, thankfully!

While I found Dr Kovacs to be a very nice doctor, God help you trying to get a refill, test results or question answered! His assistant will NEVER return the calls. When I told him of my continued trouble with her, he said other patients had told him that as well. Sadly nothing is done and I am changing doctors. I can't have an assistant jeopardize my health. Too bad because I liked him.

Doctor Kovacs has been treating my psoriatic arthritis for over 4 years and has worked with me to get my condition very well controlled. From significant pain and stiffness, to barely detectable disease . I could t be more pleased with his care. He listens to my questions and concerns, is very thorough , and is good at thinking outside the box. He is always spot on in his treatment approach , and in his analysis of radiological test results . I totally trust him and would highly recommend him .

Dr. Kovacs has helped me and the treatment of my of my Rheumatoid arthritis. Under the care of another doctor, I was hospitalized for 2 weeks then home care for another 4 weeks. After that ordeal, I saw Doctor Kovacs as a new patient. He was able to give me the correct diagnosis and the correct medications for my condition. Because of his knowledge and treatment, I’m back to my health. He has given me back my health.

Dr Kovacs saw me when I was in urgent need of being assessed by a Dr in his speciality. His exam and follow-up questioning that day were the most thorough I have ever experienced. In later appointments his explanations of my condition and treatment were very complete. He takes time to answer questions and concerns. I would highly recommend Dr Kovacs without any reservations - he is a great Doctor!

Never in my life have I had such a negative experience with a doctor. He yelled at me, yes yelled, because he disagreed with my other doctors opinion. Additionally, if I had not listened to my other rheumatologist I would be much worse off as I developed issues with my organs (heart, lungs, and kidney) and Dr. Kovacs refused to give me the treatment I needed to stay healthy. Worst doctor experience ever. I recommend finding a different doctor. The nurse apologized to me for the doctors behavior.
