Amazing Doctor
I was unsure what my experience would be with this doctor as he seemed very reserved. After several visits I can say that whatever this doctor doesn't know when he speaks with you he definitely will ask and find out and my experience has been nothing but positive. He looked into conditions my other doctors ignored and found some significant things that I'm glad he took the time to look for. He is great about answering questions via MyChart and always gives me a follow-up plan which no other neurologist has gone to these lengths for me. He got me an insurance override after my insurance deemed an MRI medically unnecessary (which it was). He listens more than any other neurologist I've had and I feel that he truly cares about helping people. He even reached out to my other doctors to figure out treatment plans. Yes, he is old school but I'm fine with that. I appreciate his honesty and straightforward responses. Great doctor!

I am honestly speaking from my heart because of the bad experience seeing this doctor. Dr. Cawthon needs to retire, he has no people skills, he ask dumb questions , strayed away from the subject, I felt like I was in a torture chamber and could not believe that after waiting so long to be seen by a neurologist, this was what KAISER referred , he is as slow as molasses, and don't like the patient to ask questions. When I ask a question, his answer is "I will get to it." He spent more time documenting on the computer, the visit there was a total waste of time. Especially having to travel so far. I know people write these reviews based on emotions, but really this was a bad experience. We left the visit feeling very empty and more confused. I do recognize quality care, and great customer service skills, also, when someone really care. This is a fact, having work in several Health care facilities for over 25 Years. This was pitiful. Thank you.

Dr. Cawthon takes his time with you. He listens to your concerns which is rare. Doctors like him are hard to find. I wish he'd never have left Reid neurology. If you are lucky enough to have him in your area then you won't regret going to see him.

Dr Cawthon helped me understand my problems and not be so scarred. He didn't just throw a handful of pills at me. He is the smartest Doctor I have ever met. I wish he would have never had to leave Walla Walla. Thank you Dr. Cawthon
