Dr Blat made us lose hope
My mom has a glioblastoma. Dr Blat told us there was no hope of taking out any of her tumor and that it was inoperable. We got a second opinion and they immediately said they could easily do surgery. They took out THE ENTIRE tumor. While it’s still a terminal illness, this will increase my moms lifespan in a way that we were told was impossible.

Never heard Dr Blatt's opinion
After first having to get all my records sent to your office, you finally offered an appointment with a PA or NP. Tarah, the NP that saw me, was supposed to speak with Dr Blatt about my worsening neuropathy, considerable degeneration, as well as the bone spur touching my spinal cord, and foremen narrowing. She never got back to me. When I called the office after over 2 weeks, a 'nurse' said that no surgery was recommended at this time. When I complained about worsening symptoms, they then referred me for an EMG. That was scheduled 3.5 months out. The nurse said that the EMG was needed to make sure that surgery could help me. I am now seeking an opinion with a surgeon willing to actually speak with his patients and offer a real opinion about what I should do.

Good surgeon but.......
Dr did a good fusion-I had results immediately-99% of pain-numbness-electrical sensations was gone! 4 months postop, I suddenly had pain, numbness and electrical shocks return! Contacted Drs office and his PA ordered MRI which failed because electrical sensations made me move too much. I asked the PA if I could see the doctor or go to the ER as issues were worsening? PA said "No", and that "this was expected and to just live with it". A month later, saw another MD who immediately gave me steroids to treat a coexisting disease that the surgeon was very aware I had. The steroids halted the pain, but residual numbness & weakness made walking hard. 2 months later I saw the PA in the office. Her eyes got huge as I told of the issues and the steroid rx. She then said to "see the doctor immediately" if any new symptoms. Why did she say earlier to "just live with it" and deny me access to Dr for symptoms that to this day impair my walking? Don't recommend Dr because of PA.

This Dr. is impossible to get an appointment with. His staff is rude and is evidently untrained as my Dr. had to send them my medical history twice as well as a referral. Insisted I needed a MRI when I just had one this week which they couldn't find. The Dr. may be great but his staff is impossible to deal with. Won't be going to him.

comments on special cases he has no experience in. You must meet the normal symptoms of a diagnosis or he will not consider you as having that issue. His staff is worse and are on their cell phones when you come in for an appointment. save yourself the pain.

Dr. Blatt operated on my neck last November. My arms no longer go to sleep and I no longer have any neck pain. He was thorough and explained everything to me in laymans terms. I will be having surgery on my lower back next and would not think of going to or trusting any one else! Sherrie McCoy is also a Rock Star! He's lucky to have her to help him!

Dr Blatt has played an instrumental part in my Father's brain surgery for removal of an Atypical Meningioma grade 2. It has now been a couple of months since the surgery and my Father continues to make progress. Dr. Blatt has been a wonderful and amazing motivating force in my Father's care since the onset of his diagnosis. My husband and I who came from afar, as well as our whole family, will forever be grateful to Dr Blatt and staff for his kindness, expertise and care. Thank you! God Bless.

I am a doc, so quite particular about the care I and my family receive. I had an outstanding experience during two pre-op appointments. Spinal decompression and fusion went well, but my immediate post-op pain experience was overwhelming. Dr Blatt's 2 physician assistants were wonderful and helped me navigate through the pain to comfort and to healing. One year later I remain forever grateful to Dr Blatt and his team.
