If you want quick one word answers from someone other than your teenage child this may be the doctor for you. He doesn’t want to chit chat about your alignments or answer your questions. In and out. I’ve had a fever of 103 he thought I said 100.3 He told me this days after I called his service and told Me “it was loud in the restaurant I couldn’t hear.” What a mistake that was! I am being cared for by my primary who is appalled at many of the missteps by this doctor. I’ll find someone who cares for their patience not the insurance money. If he keeps this up and more ppl want actual information his patience will “go away on their own.” As scared as I was and even though you disrespected me and stormed out of the room, I hope if there’s ever a time where you are in my shoes scared, I wish you a better doctor than I had.

Dr. David Benisch was my surgeon for the removal of my appendix back on Columbus Day 1981. Being diabetic, he proceeded with the operation adhering to cautious methods because my appendix ruptured just before he operated. In those days, I might have been a surgery early in his career. Thank you so much for all your caring ways. Barry Lakewood Ranch, Florida

Went to Dr. Benisch to have a Desmoid tumor removed. Months later I went back because I felt like the tumor was coming back. He told me it was scar tissue and that I was fine, he was extremely dismissive. Wouldn't send me for an MRI until my husband came back with me and demanded it. Long story short the tumor HAD returned and had invaded my abdomin, I ended up having to go Sloan Kettering to have it removed. They had to take a 5 inch section of my abdominal wall and parts of 3 of my ribs.

Dr. Benisch saved my life when other doctors couldn’t diagnose my problem correctly. He is the best surgeon I’ve seen since moving to Long Island. I was in and out of the hospital quickly - which was important to me. He is very honest and caring, and his skill as a surgeon made my recovery quick . I have since referred my mother and brother to him, for thyroid cancer and a hernia. Mom is completely cured, and my brother feels great. If I ever need a surgeon again I would only use him.

Came here on referral from my GP. This Doc didn't know how my condition developed & didn't care. "Let's just talk about leaving it in or taking it out." I would have trusted him performing the surgery. Sadly his staff, except for the young girl at the front desk are the typical rude/grumpy office type. They couldn't understand my insurance plan & didn't care to call/take the time to figure it out in order to get me back in. Old docs are getting too old, new younger docs are kind & actually care.
