Gave me my life back
Dr. Lau performed a very complex two day spinal surgery on me in June 2024. He alleviated my back pain and gave me my life back. He was upfront and honest. He is an amazing doctor and I will be forever grateful to him!!!!

Disappointing
Dr. Lau was recommended by a neurosurgeon who had operated on me before. Unfortunately, his performance did not live up to the recommendation. Despite having a huge instrumented lumbar fusion nearly three years ago, I remain in pain and unable to do physical tasks he had said prior to the operation would not be a problem. He also advised prior to the surgery that he would be looking after my condition for years to come. After just two years he refused to see or talk to me.

Excellent Neurosurgeon
Dr Lau is an extremely competent neurosurgeon. I had a serious and complicated lower back problem that the first neurosurgeon I went to muffed. Dr Lau came up with a surgical plan and excited it precisely. He is a great neurosurgeon and I highly recommend him to anyone who is in need of spinal surgery.

In November 2021, I severely fractured my spine in an accident. Dr. Lau performed spinal fusion surgery on my back the day before Thanksgiving. He is highly skilled, humble and compassionate. I am forever grateful to him for preventing me from being confined to a wheelchair for the rest of my life.

Terrible!
Gave me a diagnosis which requires surgery and then had a PA call me to tell me he is not going to help. He did not have the social skills to call me himself and explain anything. I think the reason is that I told him his staff was poor and he could not handle that and thus it was easier to cancel me. I guess it is better to happen now than later. Capable staff is important to a surgeon who does complex surgery. Stay away if you want a mature surgeon with great staff.
