My husband drove me from Sullivan County NY in rush hour traffic for my appointments with Dr. Yong. It was worth every single pot hole. Dr Yong is the best Neurosurgeon . He saved my life. Mount Sinai had the best Doctors Nurses and all staff from Transport to the food workers . It was an amazing experience.

Grateful for Dr. Yong
I am so lucky to have met Dr. Yong. When they found a tumor in my brain I was originally in the care of another doctor but my spouse had reservations about him so we saw Dr. Yong for a second opinion. Thank goodness we did! He jumped right into action and I firmly believe I would not be here today if we hadn't seen him. He is a skilled surgeon and a wonderful human. He is kind, considerate, and able to explain complex (and scary) science in simple terms. I felt safe and supported in his care. And his NP Johanna is a delight and was very patient with our many many questions. Dr. Yong was a light in one of the darkest periods of my life and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Excellent Surgeon
Dr Yong came into my life after visiting the ER at Mt Sinai Astoria. An MRI revealed brain tumor. I was immediately transferred to Mt Sinai Hospital in Manattan where Dr Yong came to introduce himself. What a blessed day that was. He clearly explained his plan for removal. He did an excellent job removing a golf sized tumor which was diagnosed as stemming from primary CNS lymphoma. Those who viewed my initial incision were amazed at his work. He played a crucial role in me getting the care and future treatments for this disease. Currently progressing very well. Kudos also his NP Johanna V.

Amazing surgeon. Performed 2 separate brain surgeries on me for GBM. Came out both times with no deficiencies. 100% recommended. Totally clear before and after in explaining any questions.

Dr. Yong removed the tumor with NO deficits. It's been a year since the operation - received multiple MRIs with no recurrence. Impressed with the VR presentation showing the tumor in various views along with arterial and functional pathways for planning resection. Also,RN Johanna Vaillancourt- very caring/helpful throughout the process. Leading a very active healthy lifestyle with no side effects from surgery and radiation. I’m truly grateful for Dr. Yong and his team!
