I wasn't looking for nice doctor, nor a good doctor, I needed the BEST expert in this type of surgery. I needed a confident highly reputable surgeon who knows what he is doing and will not just make my body ugly in a new way. I went to 4 surgeons, I left Buchanan as a last one because he seemed to be better ranked. I never blindly trust reviews until I meet the surgeon myself. When I met this VERY confident, friendly, passionate, knowledgeable doctor I knew he was the one.He took his time with me assessing my body and not made me feel rushed, or embarrassed (I am extremely private).He offered an enhanced version of the surgery vs what I was asking, which shows the range of his skill set and confidence of being able to achieve what I want. He made me look like a doll without using implants and I do have high standards! He has a solution to every goal. I asked all my questions and never was made feel bad. Even after surgery his care is unmatched, he took great care of me! Today is day 4!

This guy is the best!
I chose Dr Buchanan for my breast implant removal and reconstruction after learning the folly of not doing my homework (bad experience previously). I discovered that he had done breast cancer reconstruction in addition to great reviews and decided he was the one for me. NO regrets. He prepared me in advance about what to expect and thoroughly covered all the bases. Surgery went well and I couldn't be happier. I look like a 20 year old! Oh, yes, and he's NICE!

I was very fortunate to have chosen Dr. Dallas Buchanan for my abdominoplasty. After much research on qualified board certified plastic surgeons in the area, one name kept coming up, and it was Dr. B at Vivify Plastic Surgery. My initial consultation was straight forward and answered all my questions. The staff is caring and professional. They treat each person as an individual and not just another patient. Surgery day went off without a hitch. Again Dr.B was professional and wanted to make sure I had all questions and concerns taking care of before the procedure. One of the many things that sets this surgeon apart for the rest is his commitment to pain management. He realizes that there are newer techniques and technologies that can help diminish reliance on stronger medicines. I was able to recover without the need for any narcotics. The most important part of any plastic surgery is the outcome. I could not be more pleased with my results. His surgical technique is precise and

Overall, I love the guy. Dr. Buchanan has performed both of my gynecomastia surgeries in the last three years. My results are wonderful which is due greatly to the work of Dallas B. The experience was smooth, the surgical center in Tampa obviously performs many surgeries which made it seamless. Dr. Buchanan is not only skilled as a surgeon but is also highly personal and respectful. Glad I found him!

Dr Buchanan is the physician I needed to make a decision I have been considering for 20 years - to have breast reduction surgery. He answered my questions honestly, and was clear about what could be expected and how the process would work. I felt confident in his abilities to perform the surgery, to make sure I was well cared for and to achieve a good result. I am still healing, but I am very happy with the results I am seeing. I already feel a big difference in the comfort of my back and shoulders. The fun part - I can’t wait to buy the pretty bras I could never fit into.

For medical reasons, I needed to have breast reduction surgery, but because I’ve been through several surgeries lately for a serious illness, I was a bit traumatized and wasn’t looking forward to the procedure at all. But thank goodness I found Dr Buchanan, who, aside from being an excellent surgeon, is a thoughtful and kind physician as well. He didn’t condescend to me and he wasn’t impatient. I gathered confidence and the surgery went really well. I’m so glad I found a gifted surgeon who also is sensitive to what people are actually going through.

Dr. Buchanan is a superb plastic surgeon! He has done the reconstruction after I had a double mastectomy. Both the initial surgery and the final operative procedure to do fat grafting and insertion of implants have been flawless. He is a highly skilled plastic surgeon and an incredible human being! I could not be more pleased with the results and the care I have received. He is absolutely the best and I can't recommend him highly enough. As soon as you talk to Dr. Buchanan you know you are in the best hands and will receive the highest quality care. I am very thankful Dr. Buchanan was my surgeon - the results are perfect. Dr. Buchanan will spend as much time as needed to explain procedures, provide options, and answer questions. He is patient, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable about his field and also is current on the latest procedures. I highly recommend Dr. Buchanan!!

I'm so pleased with Dr. Buchanan and his staff Michelle and Shannon. From the moment you walk through the front door you are treated wonderfully. I can't express enough how caring and compassionate Dr. Buchanan and his entire staff are. I've been seeing Dr. Buchanan for breast reconstruction after breast cancer and I couldn't have found a more knowledgeable, professional, kind and caring doctor. Dr. Buchanan will make sure he meets the needs of each and every patient. I'm so grateful.

I went to him to discuss getting reconstructive surgery after a double mastectomy. He convinced me I should do a reduction first, which made no sense, but he's the dr. His Office told me they had authorization from my insurance when they did not. Also not happy at all with results. I asked for a C cup, and I'm still a dd. I started off as a ddd.

Dr Buchanan is fabulous!! His office is beautiful. Decorated with lovely artwork. I instantly felt at ease upon my arrival. He took plenty of time with me to understand what I was thinking about and provided a variety of options. He and his office staff made sure all of my questions were answered.

Dr Buchanan is a terrific physician. Board certified, personable and patient focused. He is attentive, listens to his patients and performs at the highest level. His support staff is also excellent. I called Doctor Buchanan to ask some questions about a breast implant removal, before the initial consultation. He was open to them, which I appreciated. He listened to me and answered all of them (I had a lot). I had my consultation and felt even more comfortable with the procedure. He gave me several options, but ultimately I decided to go with a breast implant removal with a full capsulectomy (where scar tissue surrounding the implant is removed). Very pleased with my results!

The whole experience from start to finish was scarring. I have never felt so humiliated and so used all at once. I have a lot of body shame and have suffered from depression and bullying most of my life. I seeked out Dr Buchanan and his staff because of their reputation and high rating. The receptionists were cold and judgmental. I felt like I was back in high school again. Dr Buchanan actually stated that he could 'understand why I would want a breast augmentation' while he was examining.

I've worked in the OR for 38 yrs. I've seen many breast cancer surgeries. Unfortunately, breast cancer got me. I chose Dr. Buchanan for his expertise, attention to detail, & board certification. He knows his stuff! Its been over a year since my reconstruction. I didn't think my breasts would ever look good, I'm a perfectionist. He really is a visionary surgeon, they are beautiful! You need a surgeon who can see what you can't picture when dealing with diagnosis & surgical intervention.

I saw Dr. Buchanan for upper eyelid surgery to correct some baggy skin (from aging). Although he warned me about bruising and swelling, I only had the tiniest bit. Am so thrilled with my results. Prior to the procedure I was very nervous about having something surgically done to my face. Am so happy I got up the courage and found the best surgeon. THANK YOU DR. BUCHANAN.

Deciding to have a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction due to the BRCA mutation was extremely difficult. I am so thankful I had Dr. Buchanan as my plastic surgeon. He is an extremely kind, easy going, and caring person who truly cares about his patients. Above all, he is an excellent surgeon, the best of the best. He takes his time during surgery to ensure the results are as close to perfect as they can possibly be. I could never say enough good things about him and am amazed at my results

I had been diagnosed with breast cancer at age 38 in 2017. I had read about Dr Buchanan and his excellent reviews. I made multiple attempts to request an appointment/consultation and never received a call or response to my requests. I am greatly disappointed and saddened by the lack of professionalism.

I waited 4 months for a consultation. I drove 150 miles in the snow (there was a winter storm warning) for this appointment. Only to be told he was no longer accepting my insurance "it's just not cost efficient". Maybe they could have told me that when they confirmed my appointment.

In July 2016 I was 29 and just diagnosed with Breast Cancer. After many doctor appointments I made the decision of having a bilateral mastectomy. Dr. Buchanan was recommended to me for bilateral reconstruction after mastectomy for DCIS. He is a perfectionist with amazing surgical skills and a truly caring bedside manner. He always explained every step in my process in great detail and I felt very comfortable with all of his decisions and recommendations. My results were phenomenal!
