I broke my ankle and he fixed it and when I got an infection because I think the foot was rejecting the titanium plate he put in. He went in and got all the infection out and he’s been an exceptional doctor. I would have him operate on me any day

My name is Victor. I was care flighted to University Medical Center because I had broken my femur up close to my hip. Dr Caroom was the surgeon who did the extensive repairs. When he came to see me in the ICU (I’m sure he came & see me in the recovery room I just don’t remember) but he was very friendly & very caring. NOT many surgeons have a good bedside manner (believe me unfortunately I know) Dr Caroom DOES!! He brought me an x-ray showing the procedure & hardware he used. As he explained what he did we joked around about the procedure. He is a GREAT DR in my book!!!

Dr. Caroom explained my condition to me in terms I could understand. I saw a different orthopedic doctor and he told me that I needed surgery, Dr. Caroom said I didn’t. I appreciate that he didn’t just want to do surgery just for the money, he thought about me as the patient.

Hip surgery
Had a car accident and Dr. Caroom fixed my broken hip. He was very polite and checked on me everyday while I was in the hospital. He answered all of my questions and explained the procedure to me so I knew what exactly happened and how he fixed it. He is a very good Dr.

Broken ankle
Very short wait time. Dr. Caroom and staff are very nice. He explained injury and treatment well. X-rays were done, and he wasn’t satisfied with them so redid them himself!

I experienced a trimalleolar fracture on my leg in January 2019.... I had been running 2-3 miles a day before this injury. Dr. Caroom has me fixed back with 23 screws and a couple of plates and I’m now running 6-8 miles a day! He is awesome! (Feb. 2021)
