Wonderful
She listened to me, gave me all the options, and did not push for surgery. I really appreciate her attention to my concerns and giving me options.

Never made it to the appointment
I was scheduled for an annual exam. It was approx 2 months out. I submitted forms via internet ( a couple of the forms didn't transmit). I am an operating room nurse and don't have access to my phone or messaging during my work day. A private message was sent which I was completely unaware of. I'm at work the following day and am notified of a voicemail. My appt had been cancelled by Caldwell because she didn't get ALL the forms. I am healthy with zero gynecological issues. My physician of 15 yrs moved away and I was attempting to establish care with a new physician. When I called to check in they had cancelled and given my appointment away. Needless to say I will not be going here. Find a physician that cares about pt care not paperwork. The couple forms that were missing could of easily been completed in office.

Dismissive and cavalier
I'm a physician and Dr. Caldwell performed my c-section. I bled significantly to the point that I was hypotensive after my procedure, but was not reevaluated by her or the on-call OB. I asked for one CBC, which she refused to check during my entire hospitalization. She said, “There’s no point since you’re not getting transfused.” I followed up in clinic with another OB since I continued to bleed beyond normal lochia, who expressed frustration at my lack of labs as I was quite anemic at this point. She also acknowledged that I had screened positive for post-partum depression at a follow-up visit, but then immediately dismissed it. I had no choice but to remain high-functioning, but crying daily became the norm for a full year. I can't imagine how difficult it would be for a patient without medical expertise to advocate for herself.

My Favorite OB/GYN
Dr. Caldwell has been my Gynecologist for 11 years and I would recommend her to any woman looking for a new physician. I have been through several life changes with her by my side. Also, my 26 year old daughter has been a patient of Dr. Caldwell's for many years and is looking forward to experiencing her first pregnancy with Dr. Caldwell as her Obstetrician when the time comes.

I sustained very painful nerve damage during a procedure with Dr. Caldwell. She was rude and dismissive and unhelpful in determining why I experienced extreme pain following the procedure. I finally had the procedural nerve damage diagnosed by another doctor and am now on the path to recovery.

I saw Dr. Caldwell for my twin pregnancy and birth. First of all, I love her nurse, Amy! Any needle work was always painless and she was so easy to talk to. I never intended to see an OB but the same day I was surprised with twins during my ultrasound I was told to meet with her instead of my midwife (can't have a midwife with twins). It was the best. I found her to be much more gentle and compassionate than the other doctors I was seeing at the Perinatal center. I liked that she listened and responded without using any fear tactics or indulging in the fear based information that is always coming at you when you are pregnant (especially when you are pregnant with twins). I was very clear with her from the beginning about wanting an unmedicated vaginal birth and to avoid as many medical interventions as humanly possible. She did everything she could to meet my needs. I had a lot of control in my pregnancy and birth. I respect her so much and am sad to see some poor reviews on this site.

Dr. Caldwell was very clear and confident in her explanations during the exam and thoughtful when answering my questions afterward. Her knowledge and compassion are both outstanding. I started seeing her from another patient's recommendation and I would definitely recommend her to a friend.

I would not ever recommend Dr Clea Caldwell to anyone. I want other women to be aware of this, so they can make an informed decision about who to choose to perform this major surgery. I am a 49yo woman who had a hysterectomy performed by Dr Clea Caldwell with The Oregon Clinic in May of 2017. During this procedure she made a potential life threatening error which she did not find during the follow up appointment and a week later I was in the ER hemorrhaging and was rushed to emergency surgery.

Dr.Caldwell is a fine OB but I found communication on tests and results to be lacking. I felt I had to wait too long for lab results, had to ask for ultrasound results, waited over an hour in the lab on orders that had been confirmed to be ordered but then weren't and was started on a medication that I was never informed about but truly needed. Did not exactly have positive experiences with the schedulers or one midwife I saw either. In the end I delivered early, before transferring elsewhere.

Unprofessional and dismissive of my opinions and concerns. Asked to read an article regarding negative effects of ultrasounds, she stated "I have no time to read this". When I expressed desire to have a natural labor, she stated "there is nothing natural about your pregnancy" referring to IVF. OB kept on pressuring me to have induction despite positive non stress tests, making the end of my pregnancy very stressful. OB suggested I look for another provider at 42wks. I did and had a healthy baby.
