Find a doctor that actually cares
Clair De Leon has the WORST Dr I have had to deal with. It takes months for any appointment. My first apt was 6 mos out & then she canceled it & I couldn't reschedule for another month so it took 7 mos to see her in the first place. Then any follow-ups are at least 2 mos that is not the worst part about her. She does not listen. I went in with chest pain & shortness of breath, she blew off all of my symptoms & told me to go to a therapist for anxiety. I pushed for referrals & it turns out I have a herniated disc in my neck, I need surgery, I have a stomach ulcer & I have a heart aneurysm atrial root. Clair De Leon did not give me an exam, she did not test anything she just basically called me crazy & sent me out of her office.I had to call to get clearance for my surgery I was given a video apt & told at that time that the clearance wouldn't be a problem. That was 2 months ago now they are telling me I have to wait 2 more months for another apt. So unprofessional.

Happy with my new doc
Met Dr. Claire De Leon for the first time this week. Her clinic is nice, new, and clean. The staff members I met were thorough and accommodating. Since I recently moved from another state we had a lot to discuss. Dr. De Leon listened carefully and answered all my questions. We went over all my prescriptions and discussed the purpose of each. She then did a quick exam (this was not an appt for a physical so it was adequate). She and I determined which referrals were due and necessary. I enjoyed my interaction with Dr. De Leon and look forward to having her as my primary physician. I also like the fact that she is tied to Dignity Health with all of their resources around the Las Vegas area and will use their patient portal. One thing Dignity could improve, add patient initiated electronic medical records transfer between providers. I have access to my medical records thru old doc’s portal but I have no way to move them except print and fax. Pretty antiquated.
